Daily Fantasy Golf DraftKings Picks (PGA DFS): THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

James Hahn defeated Roberto Castro in a playoff to capture the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow. Castro hit one of the most unlikely shots in the playoff; hitting the ball off a man's head and then landing in a shoe.  Hahn was awful at this course in recent year's, but managed to win. It shows how unpredictable a sport golf can be.

This week is the unofficial 5th major, THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP. All the best in the world will be playing this week. For me, the biggest question coming in is, how will Jordan Spieth play for the first time since his Masters collapse? It will be exciting

The Stadium Course is 7,215 yards and a par 72. Per PGAtour.com, "When course architect Pete Dye first began to design the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in the 1980s his goal was to construct an equally balanced golf course that did not favor any one play style. He set out to build the purest test of skill for the world's best golfers."

As all golf fans are aware, the last three holes are of the fascinating and breathtaking in golf. The 17th hole is one of the best holes in the world, and is known as the island green. Justin Rose said, "To me, 17 is one of the easiest holes we play all year … on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday, when you’ve got a scorecard in your hands, it ramps up.”

PGA Stats To Look At for Daily Fantasy Golf (DFS)

These stats are recommended by The Fantasy Golf.

Drive Accuracy Percentage

Stokes Gained: Putting

Greens in Regulation

GIR Percentage 125-150 Yards

Fantasy Golf Lineup Picks for DraftKings (PGA DFS)

Rory McIlroy ($11,700)

Drive Accuracy Percentage: 133

Stokes Gained: Putting: T92

Greens in Regulation: 32

GIR Percentage 125-150 Yards: T147

Last Year's Finish: T8

I hate hate hate taking the highest priced player in a given tournament, but I think McIlroy is an exception. Disregarding the stats for Rory, he's had three straight top-10 finishes at this tournament. He played great this past weekend at the Wells Fargo finishing T4, and I think this could be his year to capture THE PLAYERS.

Sergio Garcia ($9,900)

Drive Accuracy Percentage: 126

Stokes Gained: Putting: 197

Greens in Regulation: 4

GIR Percentage 125-150 Yards: T100

Last Year's Finish: Lost in Playoff

I love a fiery golfer like Garcia. He last played April 17th at the Open de Espana where Garcia finished 3rd. Last year Garcia lost a heartbreaker in a playoff to Rickie Fowler, but I think he bounces back nicely from that. He also won this tournament back in 2008.

Branden Grace ($8,600)

Drive Accuracy Percentage: 149

Stokes Gained: Putting: 85

Greens in Regulation: 23

GIR Percentage 125-150 Yards: 11

Last Year's Finish: T42

Grace played great in his last two tournaments; winning the RBC Heritage in April 14th, and finishing T9 at the Texas Open a week later. Grace drives the ball low, like a shooting missile, and can get it up and down, something that is a must on this course. He hasn't had the greatest success at TPC Sawgrass, but that is bound to change.

Matt Kuchar ($8,100)

Drive Accuracy Percentage: 54

Stokes Gained: Putting: 74

Greens in Regulation: 71

GIR Percentage 125-150 Yards: 159

Last Year's Finish: Cut

Kuch last played at the Texas Open three weeks ago, finishing T42. He's a fan favorite and with a couple early birdies, he can gain some momentum through the crowd. He won this tournament in 2012. I always like taking a player who has the confidence on a difficult course like this.

Kevin Kisner ($7,700)

Drive Accuracy Percentage: 12

Stokes Gained: Putting: 58

Greens in Regulation: 43

GIR Percentage 125-150 Yards: T61

Last Year's Finish: Lost in Playoff

Kisner was cut at the Wells Fargo this past week. I like him because his stats line up great with this tournament. He played phenomenal golf last year, coming up just that short to Fowler in a sudden-death playoff.

Patton Kizzire ($7,300)

Drive Accuracy Percentage: 191

Stokes Gained: Putting: 6

Greens in Regulation: 117

GIR Percentage 125-150 Yards: 50

Last Year's Finish: DNP

Kizzire has been up near the top of the leaderboard in his last three tournaments: T14 at RBC Heritage, T8 at the Zurich Classic, and T24 at Wells Fargo. He has been putting great this season, I hope that playing here for his first time doesn't give him the jitters.

Graeme McDowell

Drive Accuracy Percentage: 13

Stokes Gained: Putting: T172

Greens in Regulation: 109

GIR Percentage 125-150 Yards: 6

Last Year's Finish: T56

G-Mac has been playing so bad of late, he will be such low-owned player this week. He has been cut at his last four tournaments, but I have a gut feeling about him this week. His best finish came in 2010, where he finished T26.

Colt Knost ($6,100)

Drive Accuracy Percentage: 2

Stokes Gained: Putting: 33

Greens in Regulation: 114

GIR Percentage 125-150 Yards: 165

Last Year's Finish: DNP

Knost has never made the cut at THE PLAYERS, but this year will be different. He can putt and he drives the ball so accurately down the fairway. So long as he makes the cut his price will greatly payoff.
