CBB DFS: Afternoon DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (2/24/24)

Mark Sears - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's Afternoon DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 2/24/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

Now that I've got all of you NBA converts, this is the day that college basketball fans wait for. It's a DFS marathon. A 14-hour tilt-fest with 35 games across three big slates from noon to midnight. Hopefully, you get as excited about it as we do! This will focus on the 12-game afternoon slate. Ole Miss welcomes in the Gamecocks for the appetizer before the 4 p.m. smorgasbord.

That starts with Bedlam in Stillwater. Bama heads to Rupp to try and take down the reeling Wildcats. Texas Tech heads to Orlando to take on UCF. The Heels heads to Charlottesville to face the Hoos. The Bees are in Miami to take on the Hurricanes. The Beavers try to chew down the Tree in Palo Alto. The Hokies are in the Steel City to take on the Panthers. Auburn heads up to Athens to take on the Bulldogs. The Hoyas are in Chicago to face Big East Easy Button DePaul. Texas is at the Phog. We close this out in Berkeley with the Ducks in town.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/24/24, starting at 3:30 p.m. EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Mark Sears, Alabama ($8.9K)

The Jalen Brunson comp is a good one, but Sears is a better shooter than Brunson was in college. He's not quite the playmaker that Brunson was at Villanova, but there's a reason that some think this Alabama team could have a deeper tournament run than last year's squad. Sears has at least 33 DraftKings points in eight straight games. Alabama scores a lot of points and Sears is always at the epicenter of it.

Johnny Furphy, Kansas ($7.1K)

Furphy's star is on the rise. The freshman from Australia is even being talked about as a lottery pick this summer even though he has only started 10 college games. Furphy has averaged 13.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.4 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game as a starter. That's plenty good enough for this price.

Quion Williams, Oklahoma State ($6.4K)

Only Houston has held Williams under 27 DraftKings points since he joined the starting lineup. That can be forgiven. We all know what a bear that Houston defense is. Williams put up 32 DraftKings points in 32 minutes in the first round of Bedlam in Norman two weeks ago. He should be good for at least that at home.

Rowan Brumbaugh, Georgetown ($5.3K)

The freshman has worked his way back into the starting lineup. He responded with 15 points and seven rebounds against St. John's in 37 minutes. Brumbaugh was very efficient from the field and ran this offense with more efficiency than they have seen since Primo Spears fled to Tallahassee. This is a golden matchup for Brumbaugh and the Hoyas. I expect another strong performance today.

Also consider: Aaron Estrada, Alabama ($8.4K); Matthew Murrell, Mississippi ($8.1K); Javon Small, Oklahoma State ($7.5K); Darrion Williams, Texas Tech ($7.4K); Jaland Lowe, Pittsburgh ($6.7K); Isaac McKneely, Virginia ($6.3K); Noah Thomasson, Georgia ($6.1K); Jamyron Keller, Oklahoma State ($5.8K); Jalen Celestine, California ($5.4K); Andrej Stojakovic, Stanford ($5K); Ithiel Horton, Texas ($3.8K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Johni Broome, Auburn ($9.1K)

Broome should feast against a smaller Georgia team here. He's athletic enough to run with them. Just look at his two monster games against rival Alabama for proof of that. Broome's production still fluctuates more than I would like, but Armando Bacot has a rough matchup against Virginia. If you're looking to pay up, Broome is the place to do it forward.

Jalon Moore, Oklahoma ($6.7K)

Moore has been the only Sooner worth using in DFS for a couple of months now, and even then he's only worth using in good matchups. This is the best matchup he'll find in conference play. Moore went for 34.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting in Stillwater and had a strong game against Kansas last weekend. He's still the only Oklahoma player I'll consider today unless Rivaldo Soares makes his return.

Tafara Gapare Georgia Tech ($5.2K)

Gapare has found success starting in place of Ebenezer Dowuona. He has come very close to a double-double in each of the last two games. This could be the game where he breaks through and Gapare's price still hasn't risen enough to chase me off. If he could start hitting his threes (he has missed 19 straight from distance), the ceiling would get a little higher.

Sam Walters, Alabama ($4.8K)

Walters has been a big-time scorer off the bench for the Tide lately. He has scored 25 points and hauled in 11 rebounds in just 34 minutes over the last two games. Alabama gets up and down the floor, which means lots of shift changes to keep guys fresh. Walters gets three or four short bursts a game and has been making the most of them lately.

Also consider: Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($9.2K); N'Faly Dante, Oregon ($8.6K); Collin Murray-Boyles, South Carolina ($7.8K); Baye Ndongo, Georgia Tech ($6.6K); Tyler Bilodeau, Oregon State ($6.5K); Brandon Angel, Stanford ($5.9K); Tyler Nickel, Virginia Tech ($5.7K); Mylyjael Poteat, Virginia Tech ($5K); Blake Buchanan, Virginia ($4.6K); Chol Marial, Oregon State ($4K)
