Dennis Clausen

13849 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Kristaps Porzingis Taking the Night off on Sunday

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (rest) won't play on Sunday night versus the Charlotte Hornets. The veteran had a fantastic showing in Saturday's win over the New Orleans Pelicans, finishing with a game-high 30 points with seven rebounds and three blocks. The Hawks may not have Onyeka Okongwu (ankle), who is currently questionable after missing […]

Kawhi Leonard Off the Injury Report, Cleared to Suit Up on Sunday

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (ankle) is off the injury report and will suit up for Sunday's meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 34-year-old had played well before going down with an ankle injury, averaging 24.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.5 steals while shooting 40.0% from behind the arc. He'll likely see limited action […]

Brandon Miller Sitting Out on Sunday Evening

Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller (shoulder, injury management) won't play on Sunday versus the Hawks. The 23-year-old returned for Saturday's meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers after sitting on the shelf for nearly a month because of a left shoulder injury. He finished that one with 21 points, although he shot 8-for-18 from the field […]

LaMelo Ball Resting Against Atlanta

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (right ankle, injury management) won't play on Sunday versus the Atlanta Hawks. He had 18 points and seven assists in Saturday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. However, it appears Ball isn't back to form after missing five-straight contests, considering he logged only 25 minutes and shot a rough 1-for-7 […]

Jalen Suggs Won't Play Against Boston

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (left knee, injury management) won't play on Sunday versus the Celtics. He had a quality showing in Saturday's 133-121 win over the New York Knicks, finishing with 26 points in 32 minutes of action. However, as has been the norm throughout the 2025 campaign, Suggs won't suit up for one […]

Kawhi Leonard Expected to Return on Sunday

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (ankle) is expected to return on Sunday in Cleveland. The 34-year-old wasn't available for Saturday's win over the Charlotte Hornets. Fortunately, it appears he'll be back from his 10-game layoff versus the 11-6 Cavaliers. Leonard had played well before going down with the […]

Noah Fant Remains Tough to Trust in Week 12

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Noah Fant has enjoyed an uptick in production of late. He scored a touchdown in two of his previous four appearances. The 28-year-old is also coming off his second five-catch game of the season. With that said, Mike Gesicki (pectoral) was activated from the Injured Reserve list and is set to […]

Mike Gesicki a Risky Option Versus the Pats in First Game Back

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki (pectoral) practiced in full all week and was activated from the Injured Reserve list heading into Sunday's meeting with the New England Patriots. The 30-year-old wasn't having a productive season before going down with an injury, catching only eight passes (16 targets) for 61 yards while failing to find […]

Andrei Iosivas a Risky, High-Upside Streaming Option Versus the Pats

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas hasn't done much to benefit fantasy managers this season. It's safe to say he was a little more productive in his sophomore year. Unfortunately, that production hasn't followed him into the 2025 campaign. Iosivas ended last season with six touchdowns. However, he has only one trip to the end […]

Chase Brown Could See Even More Receiving Opportunities in Week 12

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown had a slow start to the 2025 campaign. He has only three touchdowns on the year, which still certainly doesn't sit well with fantasy managers. However, there are those who are optimistic, considering Brown's uptick from a statistical standpoint over the last month. The 25-year-old had his first 100-yard […]

Tee Higgins Has Big Shoes to Fill in Week 12

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has had a quality season. While the volume isn't always there, he's at least made up for it by finding the end zone seven times. Interestingly enough, he has scored at least once in all of the Bengals' home contests this season, with six of his seven touchdowns occurring […]

Joe Flacco Facing a Tough Patriots Defense Without Top Wideout

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco (shoulder) practiced in full on Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation for the Week 12 meeting with New England. He has been dealing with this injury for at least a few weeks but has played through it, so few were worried about his availability. Instead, the bigger concern is […]

Aaron Gordon Won't Return to NBA Cup Meeting with Houston

Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon (hamstring) won't return to Friday's NBA Cup clash with the Houston Rockets. The 30-year-old didn't suit up for the win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday. While he received the green light to get on the floor on Friday, his night came to an abrupt end due to a […]

Jaden McDaniels Cleared to Face Phoenix

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels (wrist) will play on Friday versus the Suns. He's had an exceptional season, averaging a career-high 17.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 1.0 steals while shooting an impressive 52.1% from deep. Fortunately, his absence was short-lived. All things considered, McDaniels can automatically be plugged back into all fantasy lineups, […]

Jarrett Allen Ruled Out on Friday

Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (finger) won't play in Friday's Central Division showdown with the Indiana Pacers. He was listed as questionable heading into this contest because of a sprained right finger. Unfortunately, the injury will keep him off the floor for the first time this season. The 27-year-old has played as well as expected, […]

Jaylon Tyson Returning Versus Indiana

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Jaylon Tyson (concussion) will play on Friday versus the Pacers. He was having an above-average year before missing the last five games, averaging 11.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals while shooting 46.2% from behind the arc. He was also receiving some action as a member of the starting lineup. Although it's […]

Darius Garland Cleared to Play on Friday, Expected to See Limited Action

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (toe) is available for Friday's clash with the Pacers. The left great toe injury has been a real nuisance this season, resulting in Garland appearing in just three contests. Not only that, but the 24-year-old is averaging a subpar 13.0 points, 5.0 assists, and 1.0 steals. With a productive resume […]

Andrew Wiggins Labeled as "Day-to-Day"

According to Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra, forward Andrew Wiggins (hip) is "day-to-day." The 30-year-old has played well enough, averaging 16.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals. He also appeared in all 15 games so far this season. While Wiggins will miss his first contest of the 2025 campaign on Friday night […]

Darius Garland Might Play on Friday Night

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (toe) is questionable for Friday's meeting with the Pacers. The left Great Toe injury has been an issue all season, limiting him to only three appearances. Garland has also struggled from a production standpoint, averaging 13.0 points, 5.0 assists, and 1.0 steals. If the 24-year-old is able to suit up, […]

Jaren Jackson Jr. Out Against Sacramento, Santi Aldama Starting

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) won't play on Thursday versus Sacramento. He tweaked his ankle during the recent loss to the San Antonio Spurs, resulting in his first absence of the 2025 campaign. Fantasy managers are certainly hoping he'll be back on the floor for Saturday's game in Dallas. However, as far as […]

Tyrese Maxey Available Versus Milwaukee

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (quadriceps) will play on Thursday against Milwaukee. He appeared on the injury report because of a right quad contusion, although it isn't severe enough to force him to miss his first game of the 2025 campaign. The 25-year-old has had an MVP-caliber season, averaging a career-high 31.9 points and 7.8 […]

Zaccharie Risacher Cleared to Face Spurs

Atlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher (hip) is available for Thursday's contest versus the Spurs after missing one game because of a right hip contusion. The 2024 No. 1 overall pick has been decent throughout his sophomore campaign, averaging 12.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals. However, it's safe to say fantasy managers are hoping for […]

Kristaps Porzingis Back in Action on Thursday

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) will play on Thursday versus San Antonio after missing the last three contests because of right knee soreness. The 30-year-old has had a down season, averaging 17.3 points, his fewest since his rookie campaign, while logging a career-low 5.7 rebounds and 31.1% shooting from behind the arc. However, that […]

Kyle Anderson Cleared for Action Against the Lakers

Utah Jazz forward Kyle Anderson (back) is available for Tuesday's meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers. The 32-year-old has appeared in only three games this season, averaging 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. With Kyle Filipowski (wrist) ruled out, Anderson may see a few extra minutes of action. However, it likely won't be enough […]

Taylor Hendricks Returning on Tuesday

Utah Jazz forward Taylor Hendricks (hamstring) will play on Tuesday against the Lakers after missing the last four games because of a hamstring injury. The 21-year-old is having the worst season of his career, averaging 4.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 23.5% shooting from behind the arc. Of course, that kind of production won't earn him […]

Kyle Filipowski Won't Suit Up Versus the Lakers

Utah Jazz forward Kyle Filipowski (wrist) won't play on Tuesday versus the Lakers. The former Duke Blue Devil averaged 9.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 35.0% shooting from deep as a rookie. However, he hasn't been as productive throughout his sophomore campaign. Filipowski will miss his first contest of the year on Tuesday night, although it […]

LeBron James Will Play on Tuesday Night

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (back) will play on Tuesday against the Utah Jazz. The multi-time All-Star averaged 24.4 points last season, his fewest since his rookie campaign, adding 7.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.0 steals. While James isn't as productive as he used to be, which is expected, […]

Ausar Thompson Returning Versus Atlanta

Detroit Pistons forward Ausar Thompson (ankle) will play on Tuesday against Atlanta. The 22-year-old has averaged 13.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.8 steals this season, so it was unfortunate when an ankle injury kept him off the floor for Detroit's last four games. Even with the chance of fewer minutes than usual, Thompson […]

Cade Cunningham Active on Tuesday Night

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (hip) will suit up on Tuesday versus the Hawks. The 24-year-old has played exceptionally well during the 2025 campaign, averaging a career-high 27.5 points with 5.4 rebounds, 9.9 assists, and 1.4 steals. That trend should continue against Atlanta, especially if he doesn't have a minutes cap. With Cunningham back on […]

Kristaps Porzingis Ruled Out on Tuesday Night

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) won't play on Tuesday against the Detroit Pistons. He's dealing with right knee soreness, so he'll miss a third-straight game. Luckily, Onyeka Okongwu (knee) is available and will likely remain in the middle to begin the contest. Okongwu has played extremely well in his five appearances in the starting […]
