Dennis Clausen

13849 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Neemias Queta Won't Play Against Cleveland

Boston Celtics center Neemias Queta (ankle) won't play on Sunday against the Cavs. The 26-year-old carried an injury designation heading into Saturday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, he was in the lineup, finishing with 19 points, 18 rebounds, and two blocks. Queta will take the night off to rest before likely returning on Tuesday […]

Alex Caruso Won't Suit Up Against Portland

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Alex Caruso (quadriceps) won't play in Sunday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The 31-year-old is quite familiar with the NBA's injury report. However, his absence is more of a bigger issue, considering OKC will also be without Isaiah Hartenstein (calf), who will sidelined for at least 10-14 days. Without Caruso […]

Donovan Clingan Sidelined on Sunday

Portland Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan (illness) won't play on Sunday against OKC. The 21-year-old has averaged 10.2 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks this season. He also hasn't missed a game after logging 67 as a rookie. Hopefully, the illness he's dealing with won't keep him off the floor beyond Sunday's meeting with the […]

Jarrett Allen Won't Play Against Boston

Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (finger) won't play on Sunday versus the Boston Celtics. Allen returned from a three-game absence caused by a finger sprain for Friday's NBA Cup loss to the Atlanta Hawks. However, he'll now miss the meeting with the C's, so fantasy managers are keeping their fingers crossed about his availability Monday […]

Kristaps Porzingis Still Under the Weather

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) won't play on Sunday night versus the Philadelphia 76ers. Despite a decline in production, the veteran has played well enough to be considered an everyday fantasy option, averaging 18.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks. However, he'll now miss his ninth game of the 2025 campaign, which includes a […]

LeBron James Taking the Night Off on Sunday

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) won't play on Sunday against New Orleans. James missed the start of the 2025 campaign due to Sciatica, returning for the win over the Utah Jazz on November 18. While he's not 100%, he's still playing as well as expected, most recently amassing 13 points, seven assists, five […]

Derrick White Ruled Out on Sunday

Boston Celtics guard Derrick White (calf) won't play on Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was on the injury report ahead of Saturday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the same issue, a right calf contusion. However, the 31-year-old was available for that one, finishing with 16 points, five assists, and two blocks. White's next […]

P.J. Washington Ruled Out Versus Clippers

Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (ankle) won't play in Saturday's game against the Clippers. The 27-year-old was in line to suit up. However, he injured his ankle during pre-game warmups and was ruled out after the contest started. The Mavericks were already down Anthony Davis (calf), Dereck Lively II (foot), and Daniel Gafford (foot), meaning […]

Trae Young "Progressing Well," Will be Re-Evaluated in Two Weeks

According ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk, Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (knee) is "progressing well" in his recovery from a sprained right MCL and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. The 27-year-old appeared in five games before going on the shelf. However, fantasy managers were frustrated by the lack of production, with Young averaging a career-low 17.8 […]

Isaiah Hartenstein Sidelined a Minimum of 10-14 Days

Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) will be sidelined for at least 10-14 days. The 27-year-old, who has averaged 12.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals, missed his first game of the season in Friday's NBA Cup win over the Phoenix Suns. He'll now miss even more time due to a right Soleus strain. […]

Daniel Gafford Resting Against Clippers

Dallas Mavericks center Daniel Gafford (ankle) won't suit up on Saturday against the Clippers. Gafford most recently amassed five points, four rebounds, and one steal in Friday's NBA Cup loss to the Lakers. However, in an attempt to preserve his health, he'll sit out the second of back-to-back contests, likely returning on Monday in Denver. […]

Jalen Duren Won't Play Versus Miami

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (leg) has been ruled out ahead of Saturday's game in Miami. The 22-year-old has played well this season, most recently amassing 16 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks, and one steal in Friday's NBA Cup loss to the Orlando Magic. However, availability is once again becoming a concern, with Duren now […]

Anthony Davis Ruled Out on Saturday

Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (calf) won't play in Saturday's matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers. AD returned for Friday's NBA Cup loss to the Lakers after missing a month because of a calf injury. As expected, he wasn't as productive as usual, finishing with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three blocks in […]

Neemias Queta Uncertain for Saturday's Game in Minnesota

Boston Celtics center Neemias Queta (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's meeting in Minnesota. The 26-year-old has started in all 17 of his appearances during the 2025 campaign. As a result, he's having the best season of his career, averaging 9.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks, making him a viable starting option in deeper fantasy […]

Derrick White Expected to Suit Up Versus Timberwolves

Boston Celtics guard Derrick White (calf) is in line to play on Saturday in Minnesota. The 31-year-old has played as well as expected throughout the 2025 campaign. However, he hasn't benefited from the absence of Jayson Tatum (Achilles). In fact, he's seen reduced production in several statistical categories. Still, White remains a must-start fantasy option […]

Jaylen Brown Might Miss Saturday's Game

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (back) is questionable for Saturday's contest in Minnesota. The 29-year-old had 33 points, 10 boards, five assists, two steals, and two blocks in Friday's NBA Cup win over the Detroit Pistons. As expected, Brown has benefited from the absence of Jayson Tatum (Achilles) by averaging a career-high 28.2 points during […]

Anthony Davis Available, Will be on a Minutes Restriction

Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (calf) is available for Friday's meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers. AD hasn't played in a month after suffering a left calf strain during the win over the Indiana Pacers on October 29. Before going down, he was averaging 20.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 1.6 steals. While there […]

Jarrett Allen Back in Action on Friday

Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (finger) will return for Friday's game in Atlanta after missing the last three contests. The 27-year-old has averaged 14.8 points, 1.3 higher than last season. However, he hasn't been as productive in the rebounding department while also seeing a significant decline in field goal percentage. Still, Allen remains a must-start […]

Coby White Cleared for Action on Friday

Chicago Bulls guard Coby White (calf) is available for Friday's game versus Charlotte. He was listed as questionable heading into this one. While fantasy managers are glad to see him on the floor, there's a chance he won't suit up on Saturday against the Indiana Pacers due to injury management reasons. White is coming off […]

Nikola Vucevic Suiting Up Against Charlotte

Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic (knee) will play on Friday against Charlotte. The veteran didn't suit up for Monday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Fortunately, it appears the lengthy layoff did him some good, limiting his time away to only one game. Vucevic will be returning versus a Hornets defense that has struggled throughout […]

Giannis Antetokounmpo Returning Versus Knicks

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (adductor) will return for Friday's NBA Cup clash with the New York Knicks after missing his last four games. The Greek Freak was playing at an All-Star level before going down. While he could see fewer minutes than normal in his first game back in the lineup, he's still a […]

Adem Bona Back on Friday Night

Philadelphia 76ers center Adem Bona (ankle) will play on Friday versus Brooklyn after missing the last five games because of a sprained right ankle. The 22-year-old wasn't productive before going down with the injury, averaging only 2.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks. With Joel Embiid (knee) sidelined, he may have had an opportunity for […]

Andrew Nembhard Won't Play Versus Washington

Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard (quadriceps) won't play on Friday versus the Washington Wizards. He has a quad contusion, so fantasy managers will need to wait and see if he'll be back on Saturday against the Chicago Bulls. Without him, T.J. McConnell, who had 16 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in Wednesday's two-point loss […]

Kristaps Porzingis Sidelined on Friday Night

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) won't play on Friday versus the Cavaliers. The veteran has been productive this season, averaging 18.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. However, he'll now miss his ninth game of the 2025 campaign. His next chance to suit up will be on Sunday in Philadelphia, but as far as […]

Isaiah Hartenstein Won't Play on Friday Night

Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein (ankle) won't suit up for Friday's NBA Cup meeting with the Phoenix Suns. The 27-year-old has averaged 12.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals this season, so he's been reliable for the defending champs. He's dealing with ankle soreness, and while it doesn't seem like an injury that will […]

Evan McPherson Has a Career Night on Thursday

Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson had a productive night in Thursday's win over the Baltimore Ravens, draining a career-high six of his six attempts. The 26-year-old had a quiet start to begin the 2025 campaign. However, with the Bengals offense clicking, he's been more involved since going 4-for-4 in the meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers […]

Mitchell Tinsley Targeted Nine Times on Thursday

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley had two catches for 22 yards in Thursday's win over the Baltimore Ravens. With Tee Higgins (concussion) sidelined for this one, there were extra targets up for grabs from the returning Joe Burrow (toe). Naturally, Ja'Marr Chase led the way by receiving 14 targets. However, Tinsley finished behind him […]

Andrei Iosivas Finds the End Zone on Thanksgiving

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas had only one catch for 29 yards in the Thanksgiving win over the Baltimore Ravens. However, the lone reception at least resulted in a trip to the end zone. Joe Burrow (toe) returned from his stint on the Injured Reserve list. While Mitchell Tinsley was targeted nine times, second […]

Ja'Marr Chase Helps Bengals Snap Four-Game Skid on Thanksgiving

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase returned from his one-game suspension in the Thanksgiving win over the Baltimore Ravens. The wideout played well, amassing seven catches off a team-high 14 targets for 110 yards (15.7 YPC). With Joe Burrow (toe) back on the field after two-plus months on the shelf, it didn't take the duo […]

Chase Brown Has Another Productive Showing on Thursday Night

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown looked good in the Thanksgiving win over the Baltimore Ravens. The 25-year-old didn't find the end zone, although he still got it done for fantasy managers by finishing with 78 yards off 15 carries (5.2 YPC) while catching all seven of his targets for 35 yards. The Bengals were […]
