Dennis Clausen

13849 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Joe Burrow Could Play Even Better in Week 14 After Shaking Off Residual Rust

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow returned in the Week 13 win over the Baltimore Ravens. The signal-caller had trouble completing his throws (24-for-46). However, he still tossed for 261 yards and two touchdowns. While Burrow only had eight yards off three carries, he looked good from a mobility standpoint, which was certainly refreshing for fantasy […]

Jaylen Brown Off the Injury Report

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (illness) is off the injury report heading into Friday's matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers. He didn't suit up for Thursday's win over the Washington Wizards. However, the 29-year-old will be back on the floor, avoiding his second absence of the 2025 campaign. With Brown's return, Sam Hauser, who had […]

Paolo Banchero Returning on Friday Night

Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero (groin) will play on Friday versus the Heat after missing the last 10 games due to a strained groin. The 2022 No. 1 overall pick hasn't played since suffering the injury during the win over the New York Knicks on November 12, so there's a chance he'll see fewer than […]

Draymond Green Won't Return on Thursday Night

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (foot) won't return to Thursday's meeting with the 76ers. On a night when the Dubs were without Stephen Curry (quadriceps) and Jimmy Butler III (knee), the team would lose Green before the end of the first half. The 35-year-old finished this one with three points, three rebounds, and one […]

Joel Embiid Back on Thursday Night

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) will play on Thursday versus Golden State. The 31-year-old hasn't played the best throughout the 2025 campaign. However, he's at least been showing signs of life of late, averaging 22.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 1.3 steals in three appearances in November. While Embiid will presumably be limited […]

Jonathan Kuminga Cleared for Action on Thursday Night

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) will play on Thursday in Philadelphia. The 23-year-old has played sparingly since returning from a seven-game stint on the shelf. However, with Stephen Curry (quadriceps) and Jimmy Butler III (knee) both sidelined, Kuminga could be a top offensive contributor for the Dubs on Thursday night, especially if he […]

Terance Mann Available Versus Utah

Brooklyn Nets guard Terance Mann (ribs) will play on Thursday versus Utah after missing the last two games. The 29-year-old has averaged 8.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 19 appearances this season. Without question, those statistical contributions aren't the best. However, with Michael Porter Jr. (back) resting, Mann might be in line for […]

De'Anthony Melton to be Capped at 20 Minutes on Thursday

Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton (knee) is available for Thursday's meeting with the 76ers. He hasn't played in nearly a year after suffering a partially torn ACL during a game versus the Dallas Mavericks last December, resulting in surgery. Melton will likely have some rust to shake off in his first game back from […]

Paolo Banchero Upgraded to Questionable for Friday Night

Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero (groin) is questionable for Friday's meeting with the Miami Heat after missing the last 10 games. There's likely some hurdles he'll need to clear before getting the green light to suit up. However, the questionable designation at least suggests he's moving in the right direction. The 23-year-old out of Duke […]

Dereck Lively II to Seek "Multiple Opinions" on Right Foot Treatment

According to Mavs PR, Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II (foot) will seek "multiple opinions" regarding further treatment of his right-foot injury. The 2023 No. 12 overall pick underwent surgery on the foot in the offseason. While it appeared the injury was behind him, he is now back on the shelf without a return timetable. […]

Daniel Gafford Aggravates Right-Ankle Injury on Wednesday

Dallas Mavericks center Daniel Gafford (ankle) didn't return to Wednesday's meeting with the Miami Heat. He's been battling a right ankle injury for months. Although the 27-year-old was listed on the injury report heading into this contest, he still managed to suit up. Unfortunately, he logged only 14 minutes before re-aggravating the issue, finishing the […]

Collin Sexton Injured in Loss to Knicks

Charlotte Hornets guard Collin Sexton (thigh) exited Wednesday's loss to the New York Knicks. He did not return. With LaMelo Ball (wrist) available, Sexton came off the bench. Unfortunately, he ended up logging only nine minutes before suffering a thigh injury, finishing with four points. The 26-year-old has shuffled between the starting lineup and reserve […]

Giannis Antetokounmpo Suffers Calf Injury on Wednesday Night

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) won't return to Wednesday's meeting with the Detroit Pistons. He was listed on the injury report but was able to suit up. However, on a day when it was reported that the multi-time MVP was contemplating his future with the franchise, he exited after only three minutes due to […]

LaMelo Ball Good to Go on Wednesday

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (wrist) is available for Wednesday's game against the Knicks. The 2020 No. 3 overall pick has been listed on the injury report plenty of times throughout the 2025 campaign, mostly due to ankle issues. However, wrist soreness won't be enough to keep him off the floor, and he'll now suit […]

Nikola Jokic Available on Wednesday Night

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (wrist) is available to suit up for Wednesday's matchup with Indiana. He was listed as probable due to a left wrist sprain, an issue that's bothered him throughout the 2025 campaign. Fortunately, fantasy managers won't see him miss his first game of the season. As expected, Jokic is having another […]

Luka Doncic Ruled Out on Thursday Due to a Personal Matter

Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic (personal) won't play on Thursday versus the Toronto Raptors. The 2018 No. 3 overall pick is playing at an MVP level, averaging a career-high 35.3 points with 8.9 assists and 8.9 rebounds. His next chance to suit up will be on Friday in Boston. However, with Marcus Smart (back) […]

Norman Powell Sidelined Versus Mavericks

Miami Heat guard Norman Powell (ankle) won't play on Wednesday versus the Dallas Mavericks after tweaking his left ankle in Monday's win over the Los Angeles Clippers. The 32-year-old has thrived since his arrival in Miami, averaging a career-high 25.0 points while shooting 45.8% from downtown. Unfortunately, it appears there's a chance he'll miss time […]

Devin Booker Out at Least One Week

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (groin) will miss at least one week after suffering a groin strain during the win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night. That means fantasy managers won't have him in the lineup for upcoming meetings with the Rockets, Timberwolves, and Thunder. However, there's certainly a good chance his absence […]

Duncan Robinson Absent Against Atlanta

Detroit Pistons guard Duncan Robinson (ankle) won't play on Monday against Atlanta. The 31-year-old hasn't missed a game this season. Unfortunately, that will come to an end on Monday night after he tweaked his ankle during the win over the Miami Heat on Saturday. Robinson's next chance to play will be on Wednesday in Milwaukee. […]

Jalen Duren Back in the Lineup on Monday Evening

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (leg) will play on Monday versus the Hawks after sitting out Saturday's 138-135 win over the Miami Heat. The 22-year-old has looked terrific this season despite missing three games, averaging a career-high 19.5 points and 11.8 rebounds with 1.1 blocks. He'll make his return against a Hawks team that won't […]

Noah Clowney Cleared to Play Versus Charlotte

Brooklyn Nets forward Noah Clowney (hip) is available for Monday's meeting with the Charlotte Hornets. He's listed on the injury report because of a sore left hip. Fortunately, it isn't enough to keep him off the floor for the first time this season. The 21-year-old has averaged a career-high 12.1 points with 3.6 rebounds and […]

Michael Porter Jr. Back in Action on Monday

Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. (back) will play on Monday night versus the Charlotte Hornets after missing the previous two contests due to lower back tightness. The former Nugget is having easily the best year of his career, averaging 24.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. His shooting percentage from deep is at an […]

Alexandre Sarr Won't Play Versus Milwaukee

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (adductor) won't play on Monday night against the Bucks. The 2024 No. 2 overall pick has had a quality 2025 campaign, averaging 19.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.0 blocks, all career-highs. He missed two games over a week ago because of a toe injury, although, this time, he'll […]

Andre Drummond Available Versus Atlanta

Philadelphia 76ers center Andre Drummond (knee) will play on Sunday versus the Hawks. He was listed as questionable, although the knee contusion won't be enough to keep him off the floor. However, with Joel Embiid (knee) returning from his nine-game absence, Drummond will head back to the bench, significantly lowering his fantasy ceiling.

VJ Edgecombe Cleared to Suit Up on Sunday

Philadelphia 76ers forward VJ Edgecombe (hamstring) will play on Sunday against Atlanta after missing the last three games. The rookie has played well in his inaugural year, averaging 15.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.3 steals while shooting 36.6% from behind the arc. He'll be back on a night when Joel Embiid (knee) will […]

Joel Embiid Back on Sunday Night

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) will play on Sunday versus the Atlanta Hawks after missing the last nine games. He'll likely see fewer minutes than usual. However, the 31-year-old will return against a Hawks team that will be without Kristaps Porzingis (illness). With that said, Embiid can be added back into all fantasy lineups […]

Craig Porter Jr. Available on Sunday Night

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Craig Porter Jr. (hamstring) will play on Sunday night against Boston after missing the last three games because of a strained left hamstring. The Cavs will be without Jarrett Allen (finger), Lonzo Ball (knee), Sam Merrill (hand), and Larry Nance Jr. (calf), meaning there will be minutes up for grabs. While Porter […]

Trey Murphy III Out Again on Sunday Night

New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Trey Murphy III (elbow) won't play on Sunday night against the Lakers, marking his second-straight absence. The Pelicans are hurting, with Zion Williamson (hamstring), Jordan Poole (quadriceps), Herbert Jones (calf), and Jordan Hawkins (illness) also on the shelf. As a result, fantasy managers can anticipate more production from Jose Alvarado, Saddiq […]

Zion Williamson Resting Against the Lakers

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (hamstring) won't play on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Lakers. The former Duke Blue Devil has played relatively well since returning from a stint on the shelf caused by a hamstring injury. As expected, the team will play it safe on the second night of a back-to-back, so […]

Lonzo Ball Out on Sunday Versus Boston

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Lonzo Ball (knee) won't play on Sunday against Boston. As expected, he'll sit out on Sunday night, the first of back-to-back games, before presumably suiting up on Monday night versus the Indiana Pacers. Sam Merrill (hand) is also out, meaning Craig Porter Jr. (hamstring), who is questionable, may see more minutes from […]
