BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 49% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Thanksgiving surely did wonders to AP. All Day finished last Thursday's game against Houston with 17.5 PPR points--all of them on rushing plays--making that game his season-best and also the first one since W15 of 2019 in which he scored more than 16 FP. While it is true that Peterson took advantage of D'Andre Swift's absence, he should hold onto the RB2 role going forward as he's done during most of the season.
Peterson has slowly but sorely lost ground to Swift as the season has progressed. He started the year as the RB1, carrying the ball at least 11 times in all games but one in the W1-W7 span. His production wasn't on par with his role, though, topping at 14.4 PPR points and having just another game above 10 FP in that time. His snaps and carries dropped to 14 and 6 per game respectively in the four weeks prior to W12, but he came back to his early-season usage numbers for Thanksgivin.
Facing the Texans, Peterson carried the ball 15 times for 55 yards and he was able to punch the ball in a couple of times to get two touchdowns, the same amount he had scored in the 10 games before this one. Peterson will come back to a backup-role next week, but if you happen to play in a super-deep league, you can do much worse than adding Peterson for a what-the-heck start at your FLEX spot if you're very needy.
The Lions have an average matchup against Chicago next week, but then face the 30th and 23rd-best defenses against fantasy RBs, which means Detroit has two bottom-third teams stopping rushers in the first two weeks of the fantasy playoffs.
