Matt Jones will be looking to defend his Honda Classic title this week. Jones has made a career on tour as a scrambling specialist, ranking 18th last season in strokes gained around the green while also gaining strokes with his putter. With water hazards looming everywhere at The Honda Classic, he enters the week having gained strokes on approach in six of his last eight rounds. Although his recent iron play is promising, Jones has lost more than a stroke a round in four of his nine recorded events this season. He typically sacrifices accuracy over distance off the tee, but at PGA National, he has been above-average in accuracy in five of his last six starts. If he can gain strokes on approach for a third straight event, he should stand a decent chance at defending his title.--Byron Lindeque
