New York Islanders goaltender Semyon Varlamov got little support in the 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Russian goaltender made just 24 saves on 28 shots on the road. Yes, New York managed just one goal on the night and then Varlamov just could not get out of the first period without giving up a second goal. The Anthony Cirelli goal might have been one that Varlamov needed to have back. Other than that, there were too many chances of a high-danger nature.
