Wendell Carter Jr. Exits Wednesday’s Game Early
Wendell Carter Jr. (eye) has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against Brooklyn due to a left eye abrasion. With the Nets firmly in control of the contest heading into the fourth quarter, the move could be precautionary more than anything, as Orlando has made it clear that Carter is integral to the team's future. Prior to his departure, Carter compiled nine points and five rebounds across 18 minutes. Entering play Wednesday, Carter was averaging a double-double for the year, having compiled at least nine rebounds in nine of his first 11 games. His next chance to return to action comes Saturday vs. the Wizards.
