Kurt Busch has a habit of just hanging around at Phoenix. He does not have the speed to truly contend with the dominators but the elder Busch does not tumble to the back of the field either. Occasionally, he even finishes in the top ten. It does make sense that his average finish the past three years is 13.29 (three top tens in seven races). A nicer way to put a bow on it is this. Busch has six top-15 results in his last seven attempts at Phoenix while leading a combined 66 laps (52 came in the race he DNF'd).
