Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen picked up his first shutout of the season in Thursday's 4-0 win over San Jose, stopping 45 shots. It was a wonderful performance from the 31-year-old, who ended up with the second-most saves ever in a Canadiens shutout. Only the legendary Jacques Plante has managed more with 52 saves. Allen has won two of his last three starts, improving to 2-5-0 for the season. He's allowed 2.60 goals per game with a .913 save percentage. Montreal has played a lot better lately and there should be plenty of more wins on the horizon for Allen in the upcoming weeks.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
