Sterling Shepard Returns To The Injury Report
Sterling Shepard (hamstring) was added to the Week 7 injury report on Thursday when he got in a limited practice. Shepard missed two games in Weeks 4 and 5 but returned last Sunday to catch 10 of his 14 targets for 76 yards in the blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams. His limited practice on Thursday doesn't necessarily mean he's suffered a setback with his hamstring injury, as the Giants could just be resting him with most of their other skill players also injured. Receivers Kenny Golladay (knee) and Kadarius Toney (ankle) aren't expected to play Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, while tight end Evan Engram (calf) is now questionable. Even if Engram ultimately plays, Shepard should be quarterback Daniel Jones' top target, giving him WR2 upside.
