Alex Bowman suffered from an alternator issue much as Kyle Larson did. The difference was Bowman never fully recovered from it. The only bright side of the day is that the No. 48 car finished in the top ten -- just ahead of William Byron and Chase Elliott. That may have been the craziest thing about Sunday's Charlotte race. Bowman needed to win and that was his only chance of advancing. That was dashed early. He dropped to 14th after Stage 1, then ninth after Stage 2. During the later laps, Bowman was outside of the top-15 at one point before rising a bit at the end. Ultimately, Bowman, like Byron, was eliminated on the ROVAL. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
