Lauri Markkanen Heading To Cleveland
Larry Nance Jr. to Rip City and Derrick Jones Jr. to The Windy City. As part of the agreement, Markkanen, a restricted free agent, will ink a four-year, $67 million contract as a part of a sign-and-trade deal. He will be tasked with fighting for minutes against rookie Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and possibly Kevin Love, who continues to deny his interest in receiving a buyout from the Cavs. The 24-year-old was selected with the No. 7 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and averaged 15.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and shot 36.6 percent from deep throughout his three years in the league. Although he is a semi-risky fantasy option, his value will significantly increase if he stays healthy and receives a consistent role moving forward.
