DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/15/21): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on February 15, 2021. Eric Moody provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

The NBA schedule has seven games on the main slate for Monday night. One game you'll want exposure to is between the Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings. This game has a point total of 238. Here are three tips on how to attack the overall slate.

First of all, it’s important to look at the pace and Vegas lines. Second, it’s also useful to understand the number of fantasy points a team gives up to a specific position. The final tip is to identify value plays that are critical on a slate of any size. You don’t have to necessarily go for the cheapest value, but you want to identify players who have a high floor and a high ceiling.

This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 2/15/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards

James Harden - PG, BKN vs. SAC ($10,700)

Harden scored 19 points, accumulated 16 assists, eight rebounds, three steals, and one block in 35 minutes Saturday against the Warriors. His scoring has decreased since arriving in Brooklyn, but Harden's assists have increased playing alongside Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. He faces a Kings team that has allowed the second-most DraftKings fantasy points per game. Harden has the highest ceiling of any players on the slate.

De'Aaron Fox - PG, SAC vs. BKN ($8,800)

Fox scored 23 points, accumulated nine assists, two rebounds, a steal, and a blocked shot in 30 minutes against the Grizzlies last night. He has the sixth-highest Usage Rate (31%) among point guards this season. This metric is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor. Fox also has the sixth-highest Player Efficiency Rating (24.3) at the point guard position. He and the Kings will need all the firepower they can get against the Nets.

Collin Sexton - PG/SG, CLE vs. GS ($6,800)

Sexton scored 22 points and contributed three rebounds, two assists, and a steal against the Clippers on Sunday. He's struggled shooting threes (39%) over the last eight games, but has an opportunity to get back on track against the Warriors. Golden State has allowed the seventh-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to shooting guards this season. Sexton's Usage Rate this season is 27.5%.

Bonus Guards: Stephen Curry ($9,900), John Wall ($7,500), Malcolm Brogdon ($7,700), Lou Williams ($6,400)

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Domantas Sabonis - PF/C, IND vs CHI ($9,100)

Sabonis scored 14 points, accumulated 13 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block in 27 minutes last Saturday against the Hawks. He's scored 40 or more DraftKings fantasy points in four consecutive games. Sabonis can contribute statistically in multiple areas. He has the highest ceiling of any power forward on the slate. Sabonis is a very good player to build your lineup around.

Jimmy Butler - SF, MIA vs LAC ($8,200)

Butler struggled last Saturday against the Jazz. He only scored 15 points, but did accumulate eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals in 32 minutes. It was Butler's lowest DraftKing fantasy point total since returning back on January 30th. He scored 44 DraftKings fantasy points or more over the previous seven games. Butler is in a great position to bounce back against the Clippers.

Kelly Oubre Jr. - SF/PF, GS vs CLE ($6,500)

Oubre scored 17 points, accumulated 10 rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal in 32 minutes against the Nets last Saturday. Did you know that this was his third consecutive double-double? The Cavaliers have allowed the sixth-most DraftKings fantasy points to small forwards this season. Oubre's Usage Rate this season has been 22.3%.

Bonus Forwards: Ben Simmons ($8,400), Tobias Harris ($7,300), Harrison Barnes ($6,600), Bojan Bogdanovic ($5,800)

DraftKings DFS Centers

Julius Randle - PF/C, NY vs ATL ($8,700)

Randle scored 22 points, accumulated nine rebounds, two assists, and a block in 33 minutes last Saturday over the Rockets. Were you aware that he's scored 20 points in seven of his last eight games? Randle's Usage Rate this season is 27.5%. The Hawks have allowed the 11th most DraftKings fantasy points against power forwards this season. Randle is an excellent option at the center position if you don't want to absorb Joel Embiid's salary.

Bam Adebayo - C, MIA vs LAC ($8,300)

Adebayo scored 14 points, accumulated 10 rebounds, six assists, and two steals in 37 minutes against the Jazz last Saturday. Did you know that this was his 11th double-double of the season? Adebayo has the ninth highest Usage Rate (24.6%) among centers and ranks seventh in Player Efficiency Rating (26). The Heat use Adebayo and Kelly Olynyk on the court at the same time often. This causes mismatches for opposing teams. Adebayo has a very high ceiling against the Clippers tonight.

Bonus Centers: Rudy Gobert ($7,200), DeMarcus Cousins ($6,200), Myles Turner ($6,000)
