Jake Allen Gets Nod For Montreal On Thursday
Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen will get the start between the pipes as his team takes on the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday. The 30-year-old will assume starting duties on the second night of a back-to-back between the two teams, looking to get revenge after the Canadiens were defeated 6-5 in a shootout to the Canucks on Wednesday. Getting his second start in a Montreal sweater, Allen was fantastic in his debut - allowing just one goal on 26 shots in a 3-1 win versus the Edmonton Oilers on Monday. Despite the high-scoring game last night, Allen should be considered a solid goaltending option on a busy Thursday slate.
