NFL DFS Lineup Picks for Week 12 Primetime Slate - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football

russell wilson fantasy football rankings NFL injury news draft sleepers

"Thunder Dan" Palyo highlights the top FanDuel NFL DFS lineup picks for the Week 12 Primetime slate of the 2020 season and some value sleepers for your daily fantasy football rosters.

Another week of NFL football in Week 12 and another game that was derailed by COVID-19. As a Steelers fan, I was disappointed when the Thanksgiving showdown with the division rival Ravens was postponed until Sunday and we ended up with only two games on that slate. Then the game got pushed again to Tuesday and a whole slew of players from Baltimore have tested positive.

Luckily, 2020 is almost over. And hopefully, the COVID pandemic will be under control sooner than later. The only silver lining here is that we now have a 2-game Monday-Tuesday primetime slate of DFS action as we have the Eagles-Seahawks playing tonight and the Ravens-Steelers on Tuesday.

In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 12 Primetime Slate daily fantasy football lineup picks on FanDuel. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings. Week 12 NFL DFS Primetime Slate

Monday 8:15 PM EST: Seattle (-6) @ Philadelphia (48.5 O/U)

Tuesday 8:00 PM EST: Baltimore (+10) @ Pittsburgh (40.5 O/U)

DFS Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson @ PHI ($8,800 FD, $7,300 DK)

Russ has cooled off considerably the last two weeks after his red hot start to the season. However, we can't ignore the body of work through ten games as he's averaging nearly 300 yards passing per game and three touchdowns.

The Eagles have the 20th ranked DVOA pass defense and I expect Wilson to make plays in this game on some downfield throws against what has been a very mediocre secondary. He also has some rushing upside that Big Ben lacks and has piled up over 100 yards rushing over the last two weeks combined. He's your cash game guy for sure.

Ben Roethlisberger vs. BAL ($7,500 FD, $6,300 DK)

I like Big Ben a lot on this slate for some leverage. I think most people will be drawn to a QB in the Philly-Seattle game but I am leery of using Carson Wentz with the now likelihood of Jalen Hurts taking more snaps. But back to Ben, he's throwing the ball over 40 times a game as Pittsburgh has started to focus a lot on the short passing game as a way to mask their inefficient run game. He's getting the ball out quickly which also prevents him from being hit so often. Against a blitzing defense like Baltimore, expect Ben to get the ball out quickly on hot routes and take a few shots down the field against man coverage.

DFS Running Backs

Chris Carson @ PHI ($8,000 FD, $5,900 DK)

Carson is set to return from injury and reclaim his role as the lead back for the Seahawks. While it's been "let Russ cook" this season, for the most part, Carson has been a productive runner when healthy and is a very capable pass catcher. He's a tad overpriced on FD, but the PPR upside on DK makes him a great play there. He is a nice stacking mate with Wilson, too, because of his pass-game involvement.

Gus Edwards @ PIT ($6,000 FD, $5,300 DK)

The Gus Bus is the last back standing in Baltimore. While the Steelers are probably going to sell out to stop the run with RG3 under center and prevent the Ravens from rushing for 200 yards like in the first matchup, Edwards is still attractive due to his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. 15 touches or more from Edwards could actually end up being the most by any back on this slate and if he scores a TD, he's going to hit value easily.

Benny Snell Jr. vs. BAL ($5,000 FD, $4,900)

With James Conner out with COVID-19, Snell steps into the lead back role for Pittsburgh. He's a bit of a risky play due to how much Pittsburgh has been passing the ball, but he will most likely be the goalline back and the spot here is pretty solid as the Ravens' run defense has been bad the last few weeks due to missing some guys up front. Anthony McFarland might steal some carries, but Snell is still likely to be the guy on early downs for Pittsburgh and is one of the better GPP values on this slate.

DFS Wide Receivers

Tyler Lockett @ PHI ($7,900 FD, $6,800 DK)

While it's always tempting to roster DK Metcalf in every game he plays because he's an absolute animal, it makes some sense to pivot to his partner in crime Lockett here based on the matchup. Metcalf will have to contend with Darius Slay while Lockett has a significantly better matchup in the slot. Lockett usually (not always) has a higher target volume than Metcalf with just as much touchdown upside. He's also cheaper on both sites, too.

Jalen Reagor vs. SEA ($5,500 FD, $4,300 DK)

Is this the week that the rookie Reagor finally breaks out? If not this week, then when? Seattle's pass defense has been horrible this season as they rank 27th in DVOA and Reagor draws the best individual matchup against Seahawks' corner D.J. Reed. Reagor has four catches in each of his last two games and has the speed to stretch the field. Let's just hope his QB can get him the ball!

Diontae Johnson ($6,900 FD, $6,000 DK) and Chase Claypool vs. BAL ($6,600 FD, $5,900)

This is pretty much what I had written about these two guys for the Thanksgiving slate. Yes, the Ravens are a quality opponent but both of these young receivers are badly underpriced for the volume of targets they are getting in Pittsburgh's pass-first offense. Johnson caught 12 of 16 targets for 111 yards last week while Claypool caught 4 of 8 for 59 yards and a score. Claypool's size is a big problem for defenses and he's going to continue to see targets in the red zone from Big Ben and usually gets 1-2 carries in the running game on jet sweeps.

DFS Tight Ends

Eric Ebron vs. BAL ($5,700 FD, $3,900 DK)

I know, I know - another Steeler, but Ebron is well worth a roster spot this week and is fairly priced yet again. He caught a touchdown pass for the third time in four games last week and had a solid 4-48 line against Baltimore with a score in their first matchup. I definitely don't mind targeting the Ravens in the middle of the field with slot receivers and tight ends.

Dallas Goedert vs. SEA ($6,200 FD, $4,200 DK)

Goedert was one of the few bright spots on offense for the Eagles last week. He hauled in five of six targets for 77 yards and a score. With Zach Ertz continuing to be out, Goedert should remain the starter and one of the more reliable options in the Philly passing game.

DFS Defense/Special Teams

The Steelers D/ST ($5,000 FD, $4,700 DK) should be the chalk on this slate but both sites made an effort to price them up as high as they could to give us some opportunity cost of rostering them. I would play them in cash games as they have by far the best matchup against this depleted Ravens team and their backup QB. They're also leading the league in QB pressures and could easily create some turnovers on Tuesday night.

However, the Seahawks D/ST ($4,300 FD, $2,600 DK) makes for an interesting pivot here. Carson Wentz has 14 interceptions on the season and the Eagles are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to defenses this season. The savings over Pittsburgh on DK is a full 1900 bucks, while allows you to grab pretty much any of the high-priced players you want!

Well, that's it, everyone! Good luck, RotoBallers, in your contests and I hope this slate turns out to be a profitable one for you!
