Daniel Jones (QB, NYG) - Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups

Giants quarterback (QB) Daniel Jones is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 11 of the 2020 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Stumbling is no more, folks! And that can actually be applied to everything Jones-related. Sure, he rushed for a touchdown yesterday against the Eagles after getting down two weeks ago with all of the field open for him, and there is where the joke is at. BUT. Jones also stumbled to start the season: only one of his first five games went for more than 10 fantasy points. After that: 14+, 21+, 18+, 10+, and 22+ points in the last five matches. Talk about improvement.

Jones started the year with a 19.4-FP bang. Then, he proceeded to put up four sound duds. But in his last five he's been another completely different QB averaging a nice 17.6 FP per game while finishing inside the QB2 realm in four of those five matches for an average QB15 score. That means he's more than a good 2QB-league option as the second starter and a great streamer in any one-quarterback league of 14+ teams.

While Jones couldn't get any passing touchdown in his stat line yesterday, he added one on his 9 carries for 64 yards against the Eagles. He completed 75% of his passes (season-high, first game above 68%) connecting in 21 of 28 attempts, and went on to score the most fantasy points of the year for him so far with 22.2.

Jones is far from a league-winning QB. He's a little volatile, but he's showed more than enough upside/ceiling has to trust him as a streaming/second option in fantasy football. Don't go crazy chasing him, but consider him a solid WW target with the Giants bye coming this next week. Why? The teams New York will be facing after that and up to Week 15 rank 26th, 32th, 24th, and 22nd at preventing QB fantasy points. Sweet run of matchups that one.
