Houston Astros starting pitcher Justin Verlander (elbow) has begun throwing off of a mound as he continues to recover from an elbow injury suffered in late July. Verlander still hopes to return before the end of the season, and it’s possible that he makes one or two starts given the state of his rehab so far. Fantasy players with excess roster space should add Verlander as a result, as the 37-year-old is an ace when healthy after posting a 2.55 ERA and 172 ERA+ over the past two seasons.--Sam Chinitz
