Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski extended his lead on top of the goal-scoring chart among defensemen, notching his 18th goal of the season in Sunday's 4-3 shootout loss to New Jersey. He and Adam Peeke, who scored his first career goal, put the Jackets up two in the opening frame, but they couldn't find a way to end their current losing streak. Kevin Stenlund also scored for Columbus. Werenski has been a big force at both ends of the ice, and he's carrying a big burden with Seth Jones (lower body) out for at least eight weeks. He'll go into a home-and-home series vs. Philadelphia with 35 points for the year.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
