Former Washington Capitals’ forward Andre Burakovsky got some revenge against his old team when he scored a goal in the Colorado Avalanche’s 3-2 loss on Thursday night. It was his 15th point in the past 10 games. Burakovsky has no doubt enjoyed an expanded role in Colorado as he’s set career-highs in goals (18), assists (25), and points (43) through 53 games. However, he’s also had just 93 shots and is scoring at an unsustainable rate of 19.1%. Mikko Rantanen also scored in the losing effort. He’ scored four times in the last seven contests and now has 19 goals in 40 games. Nathan MacKinnon hit the 80-point plateau with two more assists. He has four helpers in the last two games and 13 points in the previous 10. Philipp Grubauer had another good effort by turning aside 35 of 38 shots. He’s posted a save percentage of .921 or better in five straight games. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
