The Los Angeles Kings scored four first-period goals to shock the Vegas Golden Knights in a 5-2 win on Thursday night. Kings forward Adrian Kempe scored twice and now has 10 goals in 45 games this season. His career-high of 16, set two years ago, is now in jeopardy. Tyler Toffoli, whose name has been whispered in the trade winds, had a goal and an assist. He has six points in his last six games. The Kings also received goals from two defensemen: Alec Martinez and Ben Hutton. Kings’ backup goalie Jack Campbell was excellent and made 44 saves. His save percentage on the season sits at just .901. On the Vegas side, backup goalie Malcolm Subban was not good and allowed five goals on his 23 shots. Rookie defender Nicolas Hague was one of only two defenders without a negative plus-minus. He added three shots and six hits.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
