FanDuel, DraftKings CFB DFS Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football Advice for 9/21/19 (Late Slate)

Week 4 college football DFS lineups, sleepers and value picks for the late slate on FanDuel and DraftKings on September 21st. Target these NCAA players in CFB daily fantasy tournaments and cash games.

Welcome to Week 4 of the college football season! After three extremely fun weeks of football, this fourth week is looking like the best one yet. FanDuel and DraftKings have given us very different slates and while we'll be focusing on DraftKings, I'll do my best to throw in some FanDuel plays as well.

Hopefully you're checking out this article after a successful morning slate. This night slate holds just as much anticipation, which the Texas and Oklahoma State game holding just a seven point spread and 72 over/under. It will be a fun night. Let's dive right in and take a look at some top plays at each position.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the early slate of games on FanDuel and DraftKings on 9/21/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

It's an extremely fun slate ahead of us, with more than enough offense to go around. I'll be breaking down the later slate in a different article, so make sure to keep an eye out for that as well. Let's dive into some of the top plays at each position. You can follow me on Twitter @VarneyDFS. I will be around all day to answer questions.

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks

Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State - FD $9,500 DK $8,400

This game between Texas and Oklahoma State is one you’re going to want a lot of exposure to. The 72.5 over/under is easily the highest on the slate and both offenses are extremely high-powered. Texas is the slight favorite and you can’t go wrong with either of these quarterbacks. We’re going to go with Spencer Sanders, who has similar passing upside and a lot more rushing upside. They’ll also be playing from behind and will be forced to throw a ton in the second half. Chuba Hubbard scored three times last week, which took away from Sanders. Sanders is going to put up 25+ fantasy points and is a great play in both cash games and tournaments.

Matthew McKay. NC State - FD $9,400 DK $6,400

This Ball State pass defense has been utterly terrible this far, and there’s no reason to expect anything to change against NC State here. Matthew McKay and NC State have a formidable passing game, and shouldn’t have any issue getting close to 300 yards against these corners. He has plenty of weapons to pair him with and I doubt we’ll see much of an ownership on this entire NC State offense.

Also Consider - Sam Ehlinger, Adrian Martinez, Jake Fromm

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Running Backs

D'Andre Swift, Georgia - FD $9,200 DK $8,200

I don’t think this Notre Dame defense is all that stout either way, but they are certainly worse against the run. Opposing offenses are averaging well over four yards per carry and they now face off with D’Andre Swift. Swift hasn’t been asked to shoulder much of the load early on, but that changes today. He’s the face of this offense when things get tough and gets involved in the passing game as well. Swift is my favorite overall play on this late slate. Expect at least 20 touches and 100 total yards with the possibility of two scores.

Rakeem Boyd, Arkansas - DK $7,400

This game is only on DraftKings, so you’ll have to pivot towards a Borghi or down to a Kinsey Jr. on FanDuel. On DK, however, Rakeem Boyd is a great play against San Jose State. Arkansas is a comfortable favorite and they’ll lean on the run all game long. Boyd has already shown that he can take a ton of touches, so expect another 20 carries and a touchdown. He’s way too cheap on DraftKings, which should change next week after he dominates once again. In cash games and tournaments, this is the combo I am extremely confident in.

Also Consider - Max Borghi, Eno Benjamin, Marvin Kinsey Jr.,

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers

Tylan Wallace, Oklahoma State - FD $8,600 DK $9,700

Tylan Wallace is a nearly $2k more expensive than the next receiver on DraftKings, so he’s a bit hard to fit in over there. His production has been unparalleled, however, scoring six touchdowns through just three games. We like Spencer Sanders and in turn we have to love Wallace. He should see even more targets in this game with Oklahoma State playing from behind against a terrible Texas pass defense. You can plug Wallace into tournaments, but don’t consider him a must in your cash games. Running Spencer Sanders naked is perfectly fine.

Collin Johnson, Texas - FD $7,800 DK $5,200

I just can’t ignore this price on Collin Johnson. Especially in a game where Texas is favored by just seven points. I’m still not willing to say that six foot six Johnson is anything but the WR1. I completely understand Devin Duvernay has got more targets and he probably will in most games out of the slot, but Johnson is who Ehlinger is going to lean on down the stretch. He also has three-touchdown upside in any game with his size. The price is just way too low for me to not go Collin Johnson against a bad defense.

Emeka Emezie, NC State - FD $8,900 DK $6,500

If you’re playing Matthew McKay, Emeka Emezie is a guy you almost have to play. He’s been the clear favorite option on the offense and reeled 12 balls for 103 yards against West Virginia on Saturday. This is going to be another close game and there’s no reason to expect McKay to go anywhere else. The Ball State defense stinks and they don’t have the personnel to take away any one option. Emezie is as safe as could be in the WR spot.

Also Consider - Devin Duvernay, Demetris Robertson, Ricky Smalling
