Chicago White Sox catcher Welington Castillo (back) was taken out of Sunday's game against the New York Yankees with lower back tightness. He was starting at designated hitter and was 1-for-1 in the game before being pulled. White Sox beat writer Scott Merkin reports he will be re-evaluated tomorrow, though you can probably pull the plug on the veteran catcher as there are undoubtedly some more enticing options on the waiver wire. Castillo has been a huge disappointment this season, hitting .189/.283/.358 with five home runs, 15 RBI, and seven runs scored in 106 at-bats. None of his advanced metrics are pretty either.
