Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Ryan McDonagh scored once and added two assists during a landslide 8-3 win over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night. McDonagh was a plus-two with five shots, three hits, and three blocks in the contest. McDonagh has become thrust into a role on the second power-play unit due to Victor Hedman's (upper body) absence. The 29-year-old has one goal, six assists, 20 hits, and 25 blocks through 11 games this season. He is not a massive offensive contributor from the backend, but he is a reliable source of at least 35 points. His value is increased with Hedman out and can serve as a D2 option that adds periphery statistics in banger leagues.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
