Cowboys Looking Into Amari Cooper
The Dallas Cowboys have been doing their research on Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper as the Oct. 30 trade deadline approaches, according to league sources. The Raiders want a first-round pick for Cooper and the Cowboys have been calling around to get background information on Cooper. The Redskins and Colts have also made inquiries on Cooper, according to a league source. Dallas is one of the most receiver-needy teams in the NFL this year, so it would not be a surprise if they pulled the trigger, and owner Jerry Jones has made similar trades in the past. Cooper has just 22 catches for 280 yards and a touchdown in the first six games of the year, and he's coming off a concussion in Week 6. While a change of scenery would be good for Cooper, a move to Dallas probably wouldn't suddenly pull him out of boom-or-bust WR3 territory that he's currently in. If Cooper is traded, Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant would have higher fantasy floors.
