Odell Beckham Jr. Held Out Of Friday's Action
Odell Beckham Jr. did not play in Friday's preseason game against the New York Jets. Head coach Pat Shurmur explained Beckham's absence after the victory. "I just felt like we didn't want to put him out there," Shurmur said. Basically, Beckham was a healthy scratch, as the team tries to preserve one of its biggest stars for the regular season opener on Sept. 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Giants and fantasy owners know what they're getting with Beckham, even if he hasn't played in any of the team's preseason games. He is a top-notch fantasy option, and if rookie Saquon Barkley can make defenses mindful of the run, Beckham could even see less attention and more production.
