His biggest impact, however, unquestionably came in the eighth inning, with Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel on the mound. Stepping to the plate immediately after Brett Gardner’s two-run triple put the club ahead, the 25-year-old ripped a monster home run into Monument Park, increasing the Yankees lead to 9-6.
