San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence was able to take batting practice Monday, just a few days after he was placed on the disabled list with a sprained thumb. While getting in BP is a good sign, there's no timetable for exactly how long Pence will be out. Prior to the injury, Pence was hitting .172 with three RBI. Pence will always get opportunities in the lineup when healthy, but hasn't been the same hitter he was early in his career. He does have back-to-back 13 home run seasons so you could definitely do worse, but Pence shouldn't be a guy you're relying on in your lineup.--Dan Fappiano
