Detroit Red Wings forward Gustav Nyquist scored a goal on Monday night against Montreal, giving him 20 on the season. This is the third time that Nyquist has eclipsed 20 goals in his seven-year career, but he has failed to reach that mark in either of the last two seasons. Early in his career, Nyquist was seen as potentially a perennial 30-goal scorer, but his production has dropped since then, and he is on pace for his lowest full-season point total of his career. While it is encouraging to see Nyquist start to return to his prior scoring form, his shooting percentage this year (10.1 percent) was still below his career average (11.5 percent). When you consider this along with his low assist total (16), Nyquist has limited fantasy value, even after reaching 20 goals.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
