Winnipeg Jets right winger Patrick Laine potted two goals and added an assist in a 3-2 win against Carolina on Sunday. Laine is proving he is unaware of any sophomore slump, as the 19-year-old Finn is now just one goal shy of matching his 36-goal rookie season. He now sits tied with William Karlsson for third in the NHL in goals with 35. The dynamic winger, who now has 58 points, has really clicked playing with newly-acquired Jets center Paul Stastny. Laine has now posted seven points in three games since Stastny’s arrival. Winnipeg now possesses one of the league’s deepest forward groups but will continue to rely on a heavy volume of goal scoring from their young forward as they battle for the Western Conference’s top spot.--Chase Davis - RotoBallerRead More News
