Daily Fantasy Golf DraftKings Picks (PGA DFS): Waste Management Phoenix Open

Top daily fantasy golf (PGA DFS) lineup picks for DraftKings and the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Fantasy PGA expert advice & DraftKings DFS lineup sleepers.

Welcome back RotoBallers. In this column, I will be providing you with my picks for the Phoenix Open PGA DFS lineup picks for DraftKings. My goal as always is to help put together your optimal daily fantasy golf lineups.

The 22-year-old Jon Rahm won his first PGA Tour victory shooting the lowest final round score, 65, en route to a 15-under, three stroke victory. The Spaniard drained a wild eagle putt on the 18th hole to all but secure him the win.

My picks looked great Saturday afternoon as Ollie Schniederjans, Brandt Snedeker, Justin Rose, and Jonathan Vegas were one through four atop the leaderboard. That didn't last long though.

My Picks Last Week

Jason Day ($11,400): Cut... pretty surprising

Justin Rose ($10,200): 9- under, T-4

Brandt Snedeker ($9,500): 8-under, T-9

Tiger Woods ($7,900): Cut... what was I thinking taking him?

Jhonattan Vegas ($7,500): 5-under, T-28... a final round 72 a day after shooting a 68 did him in

Danny Lee ($7,100): Cut

Ollie Schniederjans ($6,300): 8-under, T-9... the top of the leaderboard scared him a bit

Beau Hossler ($6,100): 1- under, T-49... opened with a 67, but couldn't sustain it

As for the European Tour, South Korean Jeunghun Wang won the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, in a lackluster field. Tiger Woods will be playing in Dubai this week.

Waste Management Phoenix Open

The Phoenix Open is one of my favorite tournaments to watch. As I wrote last year, "Golf is a gentleman's game. Fans applaud and are mostly very polite and respectful. The Waste Management Phoenix Open is the complete opposite. It is the rowdiest golf tournament. Most of the fans are very drunk. They dress up in all different costumes, and shout and scream at the players. It's made for TV."

The tournament will be played at TPC Scottsdale. Last year, Rickie Fowler blew a late lead to Hideki Matsuyama, leading to a playoff, which then overlapped with the beginning of the Super Bowl. Hopefully that won't happen again. Jordan Spieth, Bubba Watson, and Hideki Matsuyama– looking to defend his title– will all be competing in Phoenix.

Fantasy Golf Lineup Picks for DraftKings (PGA DFS)

Build a lineup with one of following:

There are only three players priced above $11,500: Justin Thomas, Hideki Matsuyama ($11,700), and Jordan Spieth ($12,000). I would only choose Matsuyama. He has three straight top- five finishes, including winning last year. Then there is a major drop- off to the next listed player, Jon Rahm $9,700.

Rickie Fowler ($9,500)

After losing last year's tournament in a playoff, Fowler was in tears. He had the tournament won. In my article last year I said, "He was up by two strokes heading into the 17th hole, where he drove the ball over the green and into the water, resulting in a bogey. All Fowler had to do was play it safe, and finish par-par and he would have been champion. Matsuyama birdied the 17th and 18th, forcing the playoff, where he won."

You can be sure he's had this tournament circled on his calendar all year. I'd be shocked if he didn't finish top- ten.

Patrick Reed ($8,900)

He's played in two tournaments since January and finished T-6 at the SBS Tournament of Champions and T-12 two weeks ago at the CareerBuilder Challenge. He last played in Phoenix two years ago, finishing T-40.

Middle Cost Players - Farmers Insurance Open PGA DFS Picks

Bubba Watson ($8,300)

Finished T-14 last year. Prior to that, had back- to- back finishes here. He will be in contention on Sunday.

Webb Simpson ($7,900)

I picked him here last year, where he finished T-14, alongside Bubba Watson. Simps loves this tournament; 10th in 2014, 8th in 2011 and 2012. He'll surely be up there.

Matt Kuchar ($7,400)

If Kuchar gets rolling, then look out. The crowd will be chanting "Kooooch" and he feeds off the fans. I'm hoping he has some magic on the 16th hole  this weekend.

Ollie Schniederjans's price is way too high this week, $7,500. I don't think he lives up to it.

Low Cost Players - Farmers Insurance Open PGA DFS Picks

Robert Streb ($6,800)

Streb is off a nice showing in San Diego, T-9, 8- under. He's played well here the last two years: T-37, 3- under last year, and T-10 two years ago.

Danny Lee ($6, 600)

Lee had a nice $500 price drop this week, after failing to make the cut in San Diego. He missed the cut here in 2015, but finished 4th last year. At this price, he is a bargain.

Luke Donald ($6,500)

Wow. Donald was the former number one player in the world and is now an afterthought.
