BALLER MOVE: Add in all leagues
OWNED IN: 31% of Fleaflicker leagues
EXPERT ANALYSIS: Melvin Upton has had a rough time at the plate since signing that big contract with the Braves back in 2013, but he has made great strides in turning his career around. The artist formerly known as BJ has been solid this year in the home run and stolen base categories as he's already notched six dingers and 12 stolen bags in just 57 games played. Over an entire season, that extrapolates to nearly 50 HR+SB. That combination of power and speed will play in every size league regardless of the batting average and counting numbers that come with it.
Speaking of which the counting numbers have been decent and the AVG has been better than expected at .243. And to make matters better, Upton's BABIP of .299 is very low for such a speedy player. I expect his BABIP to increase and his AVG should do the same. If you need help in the outfield and/or stolen base department, you should consider adding Upton and utilizing his power and speed combo while he's healthy and productive.
