DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice - NBA DFS Lineup Picks for 1/22/16

Justin Bales highlights the top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 1/22/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings NBA DFS lineups.

As quickly as Howard heats up, he gets injured and we aren't allowed to use him anymore. It's a sad day in fantasy, but it opens up a bit of value we need for this slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for DraftKings for 1/22/16. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

Without wasting anymore time, let's get down to it!

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Isaiah Thomas (vs CHI, $7,800)

Isaiah Thomas’s price is on the decline, but he has been playing extremely well over the last 10 days. Over that span, he’s averaging 25.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. He’s shooting the ball around 20 times per game, and the Boston offense runs through him. He gets a good matchup against the Bulls, who have been an average defense this season, and Thomas is a great option that isn’t going to break your salary cap tonight.

Donald Sloan (vs UTA, $5,000)

Sloan has surprisingly been the biggest beneficiary of the Jarrett Jack injury instead of Shane Larkin, who many thought would take over as the starting point guard. He has been playing extremely well over the last 10 days, averaging 9.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game, including a near triple double a few games ago. The matchup against the Jazz isn’t ideal, but Sloan is priced a bit too cheap, and he can be used in all leagues.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

James Harden (vs MIL, $10,000)

Harden has really been struggling recently, but he’s coming off a huge triple double, in which he scored 33 points with 17 rebounds, and 14 assists. In that game, Dwight Howard was injured early on, which gave Harden the opportunity for more rebounds. Tonight, Howard will be out again, and Harden will likely handle more duties all over the court. He gets a good matchup against the Bucks, who have struggled against the shooting guard at times this season, and Harden is a great GPP option.

Khris Middleton (at HOU, $7,000)

Middleton has been on fire recently, as he’s averaging 22.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over the last 10 days. He has scored 40+ fantasy points in three of his last four games, and he gets a great matchup against the Rockets tonight. Houston loves to push the pace of games, and they will be playing without Dwight Howard in the paint tonight. Middleton is still fairly cheap for his production, and he can be used in all leagues tonight.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Carmelo Anthony (vs LAC, $8,300)

I’m going to continue to use Melo until DraftKings raises his price a bit. He’s entirely too cheap, as he’s averaging 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game over the last 10 days, including a game in which he only played 18 minutes. He has been shooting the ball over 20 times per game, but he is also rebounding and assisting at an elite rate. He gets a good matchup against the Clippers, and Melo can be used in all leagues tonight.

Aaron Gordon (vs CHA, $4,400)

The Magic hinted that they would change the starting lineup for tonight, which most likely means Aaron Gordon will start at power forward for Channing Frye. Gordon has played at least 27 minutes in three of his last four games, and he’s averaging 27.1 fantasy points per game in those three games. A move into the starting lineup can only help his fantasy outlook, and he has tremendous upside. If he’s starting, that means his minutes will also be guaranteed, and he’ll be consistent enough for all leagues tonight.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Derrick Favors (at BKN, $7,000)

Derrick Favors is listed as questionable for tonight, but he is expected to make his return. He was playing well this season before being injured, and his price tag has dropped because of the time he took off. It isn’t going to stay this low for very long, so it would be wise to take advantage of it while it’s low. He also gets a great matchup against the Nets, who have one of the worst defenses in the NBA, and Favors can be used in all leagues if he’s announced as the starter tonight.

Terrence Jones (vs MIL, $4,700)

Dwight Howard has been ruled out for tonight, which means Terrence Jones will be inserted into the starting lineup. He has been great when given the minutes this season, as he’s averaging 9.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.0 assist in only 23.1 minutes per game. His price is extremely low, and he should easily be able to exceed value. Jones is arguably the best play on the slate, and he can be used in all leagues.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Pau Gasol (at BOS, $8,400)

Gasol is coming off an embarrassing game, in which he didn’t score, while adding only 8 rebounds and 1 block in 24 minutes. He will be looking to get back on track tonight, as he scored 60.5 fantasy points in the game before his last outing. Even with that terrible game, Gasol is averaging 14.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.2 blocks per game over the last 10 days. He gets a great matchup against a small frontcourt tonight, and Gasol can be used in all leagues.
