FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice - NBA DFS Lineup Picks for 12/30/15

Ten-game Wednesday ought to be pretty fun and fairly tricky. We've got a few games projected to be tight contests (Clippers at Hornets, Pacers at Bulls, and Jazz at Timbervoles) with spreads of three points or less, a few with projected point totals over 206 (Lakers at Celtics, Warriors at Mavericks), a few with absolutely no projections at all thanks to uncertainty of player health and, finally, superstars Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Damian Lillard listed as game-time decisions.

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for FanDuel for 12/30/15. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

This slate offers a whole lot of value, due to the high number of options and guys I think happen to be under-priced, so I'll try to offer a few more players at each position that I normally do. I honestly think there are a lot of lucrative directions you can go in tonight. The majority of my picks are lower-priced guys that I think have a great shot to exceed their expected value. Let's get to it, shall we?

FanDuel DFS Point Guards

Ish Smith (at SAC, $5,200)

Ish might be the flavor of the week and all that, but I can't resist him at this price point. I happened to catch the Sixers-Jazz game the other night, and Smith was incredibly impressive. He had the look and feel of a guy completely in control of the offense and he and Nerlens Noel were on the same page, connecting on some pretty alley-oops. It doesn't seem like Smith has any threat to his minutes and he is also taking quite a few shots - the opportunity to far exceed value is there. The matchup tonight is a favorable one, too, with a high projected total, a mediocre Kings defense and a game that will be played at a high pace.

Rajon Rondo (vs PHI, $7,800)

I'm going with counterparts in this Philly-SacTown matchup, one that I found particularly intriguing in GPP's due to two less than stellar defenses, a high point total projection and the pace in which both these squads play. Despite dropping 39 and 35 FPTS last week, Rondo had one of his weaker performances of the season earlier this week against Golden State, which I'm figuring scares a few would-be backers away from rostering him. Don't let that be you. The matchup is a great one, he's a sure thing to play 35+ minutes, his price has dropped $200 and he has exceeded his price implied value in 7 of his last 10 games.

Also Consider: Chris Paul (at CHR, $9,000)

FanDuel DFS Shooting Guards

Evan Fournier (vs BKN, $5,500)

Fournier's price has risen over the past 10 days, but it's still in the ballpark where I think he can easily cruise past his expected value, just like he's done in five games in a row and six of his last nine. Since Oladipo has been relegated to the second unit, there's little question over who will have the most shot opportunities in the Orlando backcourt, and Fournier is making the most of said opportunities. Tonight he projects for 35 minutes in what should be a tight contest, but the matchup is favorable as Brooklyn surrenders a lot of points to opposing shooting guards and they also play at a faster pace than Orlando, which will lead to an increase in possessions and opportunity.

Avery Bradley (vs LAL, $5,100)

Bradley is coming off a dud performance, and while I'm not quite comfortable about rostering him in cash games tonight, I think the matchup and high ceiling warrant a few tournament shares. His price dropped $600 this week, making him one of the best bargains at the position. He should have little trouble finding his shot against a porous Laker defense.

Also Consider: Will Barton (at POR, $6,800) and Klay Thompson (at DAL, $7,300)

FanDuel DFS Small Forwards

Omri Casspi (vs PHI, $5,600)

Casspi has been legitimately on fire these past two weeks and was particularly impressive against Golden State, knocking down seven three pointers in the first half of that game. He has exceeded value in 70% of his games over the last 10 games, and by an incredible average of 9.95 points over his price implied value. The price has risen a bit but it still hasn't caught up to his output. The fast pace of this game and porous Philadelphia defense should provide Casspi with plenty of opportunity to fill up the stat sheet.

Tobias Harris (vs BKN, $6,400)

Originally I had planned on going with Kawhi in this spot, but the prospect of that game being a blowout scared me off. That said, I still plan to have a few tournament shares because I think he'll rack up fantasy points at an incredible efficient rate against the Suns. Harris, on the other hand, has a much more favorable price tag and will be playing in what should be a tight contest against a team that runs at a pretty quick pace and doesn't defend the small forward position well. Tobias is on rested legs tonight and he's a safe bet for 35+ minutes. He's also been shooting it real well and has more than 30 FanDuel points in three of the Magic's last four games.

Also Consider: Al-Farouq Aminu (vs DEN, $4,900) and Kawhi Leonard (vs PHX, $8,800)

FanDuel DFS Power Forwards

Draymond Green (at DAL, $9,200)

Although it's a term I don't like to drop often, Draymond has nearly become a "must-play" these days. He's racking up fantasy points at an incredible rate and the best part about it as that he has a solid floor of minutes and doesn't rely on shot-making to rack up said points. I know at the top of this article I mentioned he was listed as a game-time decision, but I feel pretty comfortable suggesting him as he has been upgraded to probable. Still, it's a situation to watch, just to be safe. The matchup tonight is a great one, as the game has a high projected point total and Dallas has been incredibly kind to opposing players at the power forward position. I like Draymond's ceiling even more if Curry isn't able to play, as I think the ball will move through Green's hands even more so than it usually does, and we all know what a dept passer he is.

Thaddeus Young (at ORL, $6,800)

Thaddeus is one of my favorite tournament options this evening. I'm a big fan of the price drop as it allows me a lot of lineup flexibility tonight but an even bigger fan of his ceiling against the Magic, who don't really have a defender that can stay in front of him. His most recent performance left a lot to be desired relative to what the numbers he was putting up just prior to Christmas, but I think he'll have little trouble getting back on track tonight. In the last 10 days, he's exceeded his price implied value by an average of 4.34 points. Of all the power forwards available tonight, he ranks in the top nine in usage and PER, and is priced well below many of those forwards above him in those statistical categories.

Also Consider: Pau Gasol (vs IND, $8,900) and Taj Gibson (vs IND, $4,800)

FanDuel DFS Centers

 Nikola Vucevic (vs BKN, $8,200)

Continuing the trend of picking on the Brooklyn defense, I like Vuc quite a bit tonight. He has been a monster of late and incredibly consistent at the same time, posting more than 40 fantasy points in five of his last six games, while the last time he's put up less than 30 was all the way back on December 11th against the Cavs. Of all the centers on the board tonight, he has the highest PER and is fourth in usage rate.

Also Consider: Bismack Biyombo (vs WAS, $4,700) and Karl-Anthony Towns (vs UTA, $7,600) (tournament only)
