Harold Fannin Jr. 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: Will Monken-Led Offense Make Strides in Efficiency to Offset Added Competition for Targets?
After a hyper-productive final collegiate season at Bowling Green, Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. wasted no time putting up counting stats in his rookie season as a pro, either. Fannin Jr. led the Browns' passing attack in receptions (72), targets (107), receiving yards (731), and tied Quinshon Judkins (ankle) for the team lead in scrimmage touchdowns (seven). The 6'4" tight end became a security blanket for the team's revolving door of quarterbacks around the line of scrimmage with a low average depth of target (6.0 aDOT). With a new head coach in Todd Monken and a scoring unit that added left tackle Spencer Fano, plus wide receivers Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion, in April's NFL Draft. There is optimism that the Browns' offense could be dramatically improved in 2026. That would help offset the obvious drawback of added competition for targets from Concepcion and Boston. Notably, the team let tight end David Njoku walk in free agency, and Njoku led the team in red-zone target share (20.5%). Fannin could see more work in the red zone for an offense that scores at a greater clip due to its improvements. Fannin is currently Rotoballer's 81st-ranked overall player in addition to his TE5 slot in terms of positional standing, which means his mid-sixth-round Sleeper ADP might be a tough sell. Reasons for optimism about the second-year player's talent and scoring role are definitely valid. Still, in redraft formats, he's ultimately at the mercy of how productive either Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders can become in Monken's run-first system.
