Kipp's best MLB player prop bets for today (5/6/2026). Bet his home run props (HR props) and win money betting on MLB player props, including Brice Turang, Kyle Tucker, and others!
There are some great opportunities on the slate today with pitchers who have been known to get up the long ball from time to time, and you know we are going to attack them to lower our risk. Don’t forget that a win is a win, and even if the bet is “easy”, it still pays. You don’t have to make yourself look like the smartest person in the room; you just need to pick the guys who are in the best spots to go yard.
Conversely, some spots look good on paper, like attacking Patrick Corbin at Tropicana Field, but would you believe he has allowed just three home runs this season across 24 2/3 innings pitched? We will try to be strategic today and land a couple of dingers in this article, as best we can.
Below, you'll read about my favorite home run props from MLB games on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The current odds given reflect the best price as of the publication, but remember to always shop around at other sportsbooks so you can get more value on your wagers. Odds can vary significantly from one sportsbook to another.
MLB Prop Bets - Today's Home Run Prop Picks (5/6/2026)
Brice Turang (MIL) vs Andre Pallante (STL) OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+900 Hard Rock)
There were a few left-handed bats I liked in the Brew Crew's lineup today against the Cardinals and Andre Pallante, but I am settling on Brice Turang, as he has looked very solid and in good form recently. Over the previous week, Turang has slashed .474/.583/.737 with one HR, four RBI, and six R. The one home run came last night, and I think he could do it again this afternoon.
Since 2024, Turang has posted a .775 OPS against right-handed pitchers and has hit 27 of his 30 home runs off them. This season, he ranks off the charts in power metrics despite hitting just five total home runs. Overall, he ranks in the 70th percentile or better in barrel rate (11.6%), hard hit rate (51.7%), and average exit velocity (93.0 mph).

Meanwhile, Andre Pallante has given up his fair share of hard contact while allowing a home run in each of his previous four starts. Overall, he ranks in the 50th percentile or worse in barrel rate (8.3%) and hard hit rate (39,6%).
In case you missed it, RotoBaller's Doug Shain hit on two HR props with massive odds in yesterday's piece!

Kyle Tucker (LAD) vs Lance McCullers Jr. (HOU) OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+536 DraftKings)
Kyle Tucker has a solid shot to go deep against his former team in Houston. He has been heating up lately, slashing .273/.346/.500 with one HR, three RBI, and just three Ks across his previous 26 PA. He is also known for his ability to hit right-handed pitching.
Since 2024, he has 35 of his 49 home runs against righties. Additionally, he has posted an .896 OPS against them since 2024, encompassing 731 PA. He will be up against Lance McCullers Jr., who has had his fair share of struggles thus far in 2026.
Overall, McCullers Jr. has allowed a total of four home runs across six starts; however, all four of those homers have come across his previous four starts. Three of the four home runs have also come against left-handed hitters, and he has also been giving up hard contact.
Overall, McCullers Jr. ranks in the 15th percentile or worse in terms of average exit velocity (91.6 mph) and hard hit rate (48.1%). Once McCullers Jr. is done, Tucker will have his licks against an Astros' bullpen that has allowed a whopping 31 home runs thus far in 2026, which is seven more than any other team.
Tucker might be my favorite pick in this article overall. While the odds are not as high as some of the others depicted in this article, his overall matchup against McCullers Jr. and the Astros' pen makes him a very viable candidate to go deep on Wednesday.
