There are also several lesser-known arms on the mound worth taking a look at. Overall, this slate appears to be pretty solid in terms of strikeout potential, and we may even have an under worth looking into.

Elite K Upside: High-Confidence Strikeout Picks
Jack Leiter OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-109 DraftKings)
Jack Leiter started the season hot, striking out 17 batters across his first 11 innings pitched. Since then, he has struck out just seven batters over his previous 9 1/3 innings pitched. He gets to return home to Globe Life Field for a solid matchup against the Pirates and should be able to find some strikeout success once again.
Over the previous two weeks, the Pirates have been posting a K rate near 22% versus right-handed pitchers, which ranks them in the bottom half of the league. While their wRC+ over this span is sitting at 115, I think the ballpark will help Leiter out a bit here and keep him in the game a bit longer. His first start at home this season resulted in nine strikeouts across five innings pitched for context.
Leiter's whiff rates have been solid as well. Each of his pitches generates at least a 23% whiff rate, and all of his offspeed stuff generates at least a 42.9% whiff rate. Look for him to regain his form in this matchup and get over this number.
Shohei Ohtani OVER 6.5 strikeouts (-105 NOVIG)
I am going to go out on a limb here with Ohtani despite the tough matchup against the Giants, as the strikeout upside is just too high to ignore. Thus far, across three starts, Ohtani has racked up 18 strikeouts across 18 innings pitched. In his most recent start, he mowed down 10 Mets across six innings pitched.
The Giants will be a tough matchup, however. Over the previous two weeks, their K rate is just 17.3% versus right-handers, but they also have a league-average wRC+ mark at 107. Additionally, they are walking at a sub 5% clip over that same span. Ohtani should definitely be able to get some length against this offense with a walk rate like that.
It is also worth noting that he has a K rate of 32.7% across 55 plate appearances versus this Giants' roster, so while not a huge sample, not exactly tiny, either.
