Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 11:
Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt had a solid Week 9 with 11 carries for 49 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Bills. He picked up more work with Isiah Pacheco (knee) on the sidelines, but it is possible that Pacheco will return in Week 11 against the Broncos. Hunt has six touchdowns on the season and four scores in the last five weeks.
The Broncos have been a tough matchup for running backs this season, but Hunt has touchdown-dependent upside if you are looking for running back help or are desperate for a flex play this week.
Sean Tucker, RB, Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker will continue to see an expanded role in the coming weeks. Over his last two games, Tucker has logged 21 carries for 95 yards and a touchdown, helping fill the void left by second-year back Bucky Irving, who has missed the past four contests with foot and shoulder injuries.
With no clear timetable for Irving's return, the Buccaneers will continue to rely on a tandem of Rachaad White and Tucker in the backfield. While White has handled the majority of the workload in Irving's absence, the rotation has shifted slightly toward a committee approach after head coach Todd Bowles expressed a desire to get Tucker more involved. Tucker is a name to monitor heading into Week 11 as the Bucs face a struggling Buffalo Bills run defense.
Michael Wilson, WR, Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson has seen his fantasy value surge with his team set to play Week 11 without top wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (appendectomy). Tight end Trey McBride continues to be the team's No. 1 pass catcher, but Wilson is third on the team in most receiving categories and should be the No. 1 receiver this week.
The Cardinals, who have had a rotating cast of running backs and are playing with backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett, have been one of the toughest teams to gauge in the NFL for fantasy leagues. Wilson is earning a middling 6 yards per target and has only 22 catches through nine games, so managers shouldn't expect a week-winning performance, but Wilson's likely increase in volume could be worth a look in deeper leagues or as a one-week fill-in.
Calvin Austin III, WR, Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III hasn't posted great stats this season, but does have some good things going for him. In Week 10, Austin hauled in two of his seven targets for 14 yards in the loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Austin tied fellow wideout DK Metcalf for the team lead with seven targets during that game. The 26-year-old has seen six or more targets in three straight games.
Austin hasn't posted excellent stats during those games, but is getting the ball thrown his way more often. That being said, Austin could be someone worth looking at for the upcoming Week 11 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Austin might be able to do some damage against that struggling secondary.
