Horatio Fields to Undergo Surgery on Broken Foot
Auburn wide receiver Horatio Fields (foot) suffered a broken foot and will undergo surgery to repair it, according to head coach Hugh Freeze. The senior transferred from Wake Forest to Auburn this offseason after catching 44 passes for 517 yards and four touchdowns in 2023 and 2024 with the Demon Deacons. In four games with the Tigers this season, he has tallied 12 receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown. With Cam Coleman and Eric Singleton Jr. occupying the WR1 and WR2 duties for quarterback Jackson Arnold, sophomore wideout Malcolm Simmons should see more action in Fields' absence. After a close loss to Oklahoma last Saturday, the Tigers are headed to Kyle Field and need to pick up an SEC win to stay in the conference race.
