Jayden Reed Injury Update
During the preseason, it was revealed that Jones spent training camp playing through a Jones fracture in his foot. However, this fracture did not prevent him from participating in Weeks 1 and 2.
In Week 1, Reed was given a lower snap count but still produced, catching three of his five targets for 45 yards and a touchdown.
However, in their second contest of the season, Reed would suffer a broken collarbone when catching a ball in the back of the end zone. However, this play was eventually called back for an offensive penalty, and as a result, Reed would finish this contest without a catch.
Following this content, the Packers eventually placed Reed on injured reserve, which will keep him sidelined for at least four games. However, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport noted that the top wide receiver is facing a 6-8 week timeline, which could keep him sidelined for the majority of the regular season.

Jayden Reed Fantasy Football Outlook
Given his extensive timeline, managers should only look to stash Reed in deep 12+ team leagues that have IR spots. Given his uncertain timeline, managers in shallower leagues should consider dropping Reed, as there is no guarantee he will be able to return in time for the final weeks of the regular season.
While Reed has flashed upside at times, he is not expected to carry much value during the remainder of the regular season. As a rookie in 2023, Reed averaged an impressive 17.4 PPR points over his final eight games of the season. Then in 2024, Reed struggled with consistency but still maintained a very high ceiling, totaling at least double-digit PPR points in nine games.
With Reed now slated to miss the majority of the regular season, fantasy managers should expect Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and rookie wideout Matthew Golden to serve as the top options in the passing attack. Christian Watson (knee) is working his way back from injury and could also claim a role in the second half.
However, the majority of the offense should go through tight end Tucker Kraft, who is enjoying a breakout season. In Week 2, once Reed left the game, Kraft caught six of his seven targets for 124 yards and a score. Kraft carries high-end TE1 upside for the remainder of the season, while Doubs, Wicks, and Golden are projected to carry FLEX value for the time being.
If one were to emerge as the team's true WR1, they would enter high-end WR3 territory.
