Diego Pavia Seeking Another Year of Eligibility
Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia is reportedly seeking another year of collegiate eligibility after being granted an injunction, making him eligible for the 2025 season last year. The 24-year-old is already in his sixth season of college football during his second campaign at Vanderbilt after spending two years at New Mexico Military Institute and two years at New Mexico State. Pavia's attorney is delivering oral arguments in the Pavia vs. NCAA case on Tuesday. This is obviously a situation worth monitoring, as Pavia has become one of the nation's most dynamic quarterbacks through 16 games with the Commadores. So far in 2025, Pavia has tallied 645 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, and 129 rushing yards to lead Vanderbilt to a 3-0 record, including wins over South Carolina and Virginia Tech on the road.
