ANALYSIS: Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman flashed upside at times during his debut season but was rarely consistent. During his first four games, he averaged a mere 6.7 PPR points per game. However, over his next four, he would begin to find his footing, averaging 13.0 PPR points per game.
However, the Florida State product would then suffer a wrist injury that kept him sidelined through Week 15. When he did return to action, Coleman had a minimal role in the offense and only tallied double-digit PPR points once, over the final month.
In the postseason, he played a similar role, catching just three passes over three games. However, with a full offseason under his belt, the former second-round pick appears poised to take the next step in the offense. During the offseason, the Bills opted only to bring in veteran wideout Joshua Palmer, which suggests Coleman should still maintain his role as the team's deep threat.
Throughout camp, Coleman has been receiving praise from his quarterback and coaching staff. However, he is currently dealing with a minor groin injury and was limited during Wednesday's practice. Fantasy managers should monitor his status in case he faces a setback leading up to Week 1.
Operating as the team's deep threat makes him a risky WR3 in deeper 12+ team leagues in Week 1. Facing the Ravens, in a potential high-scoring afair, Coleman possesses upside, but is a risky play in shallower leagues due to the possibility he sees a low target share.
