Savion Williams 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Depth Piece In A Crowded WR Room
Savion Williams joins one of the most crowded-with-mediocre-to-decent-talent pass-catching groups in the NFL. Tight ends Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave, WRs Matthew Golden, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Mecole Hardman, Bo Melton, and the aforementioned Williams, and running back Josh Jacobs will all be mashed into the game plan to make sure all of them pretty much suck for fantasy football. That's what happened last season, and though WR Christian Watson (knee) was still playing, no Packers receiver was worth starting in 1QB leagues. Now, the targets are likely to be even more diluted. This could be an incredibly ugly offense to buy into, unless you're targeting the running backs, because Green Bay rushed the ball at a top-5 rate in the NFL in 2024. Williams profiles more as a hybrid receiver-running back combo due to his lack of a refined WR skill set. He's a stash in very deep dynasty leagues, but isn't worth picking in redraft.
