Xander Bogaerts Returns to Lineup on Friday
Xander Bogaerts (shoulder) is back at shortstop and is hitting sixth for Friday's series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field. Bogaerts is back in action this weekend after sitting out Thursday's loss to the San Francisco Giants with soreness in his left shoulder. The 32-year-old veteran shortstop continues to be very mediocre for fantasy managers in his third season with the Padres. The four-time All-Star is currently hitting .238/.321/.330 with a career-worst .651 OPS, only three home runs, 21 RBI and 24 runs scored in 60 games played. He is on pace to set a new career-high in steals with 11, though, and Bogaerts' .256 expected batting average means there could still be a couple decent runs left in him this year. Still, he's not giving DFS managers much upside at the plate.
