Trea Turner Stays Hot in Loss to Athletics
Trea Turner kept rolling Sunday with a multi-hit performance in a 5-4 loss to the Athletics. He finished 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. While Turner entered the week hitting a decent .294/.352/.378, he then went a scorching 12-for-32 with three homers, two doubles, a triple, and four stolen bases over seven games. In the aftermath of that otherworldly stretch, Turner is slashing .310/.365/.443 with five homers, 23 RBI, and 14 steals through 230 plate appearances. The 31-year-old will look to carry this past week's success into a new week during Tuesday's matchup against Atlanta Braves right-hander Spencer Strider. However, that may be a tall order for Turner. He hasn't had any success versus Strider, having gone an unsightly 0-for-17 with two strikeouts, no walks, and a hit by pitch against him.
