Chicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson was part of a rotation in 2024, led by D'Andre Swift. The then-sophomore rushed the ball 55 times for 150 yards and six touchdowns while adding 16 receptions for 104 yards through the air. While those numbers don't jump off the page, there is reason for optimism. First and foremost is the addition of head coach Ben Johnson, an offensive guru who guided the Detroit Lions to points per game finishes of fifth in 2022, fifth in 2023, and first last season. His potential to impact offense is unlimited. He also brings hope for Caleb Williams. Furthermore, they addressed their offensive line issues by acquiring Pro Bowler Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson, adding Drew Dalman, and drafting Ozzy Trapilo. This revamped group is now a strength, which, paired with Johnson's (OC) propensity to pound the rock, could mean great things for the tailbacks. Lastly, the depth chart beyond Swift, who Johnson (OC) used sparingly in Detroit, and Johnson consists of journeyman Travis Homer and seventh-round selection Kyle Monangai.
