Jake Meyers Homers, Steals A Base Monday
Jake Meyers showed off power and speed in Monday's 4-3 win over the Rays. Meyers went 2-for-3 with a single, a solo home run, a walk, and a stolen base. The 28-year-old took a seventh-inning Manuel Rodriguez fastball over the right-field wall for what would end up being the winning run. Meyers has quietly compiled a solid season so far, slashing .301/.368/.426 with three HR, 15 RBI, and eight stolen bases in 154 plate appearances. He may not get a ton of runs or RBI hitting towards the bottom of the Astros' lineup, but he is worth a look in at least all deep roto leagues, given his success so far.
