Red Sox Owner Meets With Rafael Devers
Rafael Devers in the wake of Devers publicly chastising team brass on Thursday, according to The Athletic's Jen McCaffrey. Chief baseball officer Craig Breslow and CEO Sam Kennedy also traveled to KC, where the Red Sox are in town for a three-game series this weekend. Henry was the only one to talk directly with Devers and said it was an "honest and candid exchange." Devers was frustrated that Breslow recently asked him about moving to first base following Triston Casas' (knee) season-ending injury. It comes after the club asked Devers to move from third base to DH after Boston signed Alex Bregman in the offseason, which Devers bregrudgingly accepted. While Devers started out slow at the plate this year, he's hitting .367 (11-for-30) with a homer, seven RBI and a steal in eight games so far in the month of May.
