CBB DFS: Main DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/18/25)

Ryan Kalkbrenner - College Basketball Rankings, NCAA CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Today's Main DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 1/18/25. Mike M's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

This Saturday isn't quite as busy as last week (28 games instead of 32), but the trade-off is better slated on Friday and Monday. I'm good with that! 28 games across three slates is still a lot to dig into and I'll be with you all day long! The nooners give us Bama in Rupp taking on Kentucky. Virginia heads to Louisville to face the Cardinals. Pitt hosts Clemson. Creighton leaves the Birdcage for Hartford to take on UConn.

Houston heads to Orlando for the Space Race. The afternoon starts in Athens with Auburn in town. It's the Sunflower Showdown at the Phog. Arizona State heads to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats. Arizona is in Lubbock to face Texas Tech. Xavier heads up to Milwaukee to take on Marquette. We end this at the Dean Dome with Stanford in town.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 1/18/25, starting at noon EST. I’ll give multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Steven Ashworth, Creighton ($9.4K)

The loss of Pop Isaacs has taken a little getting used to for Creighton. So far, it has been Ashworth who has been shouldering almost all of the load. We may have to discuss these usage numbers after another month of Big East play, but as of now, it just makes him a great DFS play.

Ashworth has at least 32 DraftKings points in every game since the end of November. He has also played 38 minutes or more in every game since December 7. Those numbers aren't going down anytime soon.

Ian Jackson, North Carolina ($8.1K)

Jackson has become a star for a North Carolina team that desperately needed one post-Armando Bacot. He has scored at least 18 points in every game since becoming a starter on December 21, clearing 28 DraftKings points in all of those contests. He hasn't hit 40 yet, but it's only a matter of time. Jackson is becoming strong on the glass as well.

Jaxson Robinson, Kentucky ($6.9K)

There are rumblings that Lamont Butler may be out for Kentucky. That could increase Robinson's output even more. He has been on fire from beyond the arc (12-for-23) over the last two games after shooting 33% on the season before that. He has come close to 40 DraftKings points in each of those games.

Kentucky will let Robinson continue to shoot as long as he makes shots. Extra minutes should be available if Butler is out as well. Robinson did all of that damage with Butler in the lineup. He could break the slate without him.

Seth Trimble, North Carolina ($5.8K)

Trimble's injury gave way to Ian Jackson's rise. Fortunately for Trimble, it didn't come at his expense when he came back. Trimble's minutes aren't back to where they were, but he's still playing 25 minutes, and his cold shooting from the first couple of games back seems to be rectified. He's cheap for the upside today.

Christian Anderson, Texas Tech ($4.7K)

Anderson has played a lot of minutes since the start of 2025. He has cleared 18 DraftKings points in three of the four games thanks to hot shooting. I love the value players who play a lot and are shooting well. We need one or three on this slate.

Also consider: Jaland Lowe, Pittsburgh ($9.3K); Chase Hunter, Clemson ($8K); Hassan Diarra, Connecticut ($7.8K); Elijah Hawkins, Texas Tech ($7.4K); Silas Demary Jr., Georgia ($6.5K); Aden Holloway, Alabama ($6.2K); Miles Kelly, Auburn ($5.3K); Ryan Agarwal, Stanford ($5K); Brendan Hausen, Kansas State ($4.3K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($10.1K)

Kalkbrenner has at least 50 points in back-to-back games. He struggled for about a month at the end of November until just before Christmas. Some of it was the opponents (Georgia, Alabama, Kansas). Some of it was not being aggressive enough on offense.

Kalkbrenner is finally helping Ashworth carry this team. It's a two-man show with Pop Isaacs done for the season. We've seen how good that can be in the last 10 days or so.

Chad Baker-Mazara, Auburn ($7.5K)

No single player can make up for the loss of Johni Broome, but Baker-Mazara has stepped up his scoring with Broome out. He scored a season-high 20 points on Mississippi State to go with his strong defensive stats. He should carry a heavy load on offense again today with Broome out again.

Amari Williams, Kentucky ($6.8K)

Alabama doesn't have much for size inside and Williams is enough of an athlete to run with the Tide. Williams is a very good rebounder and a good passer for his size. He needs to be more aggressive on offense to maximize his potential, but this price is fair for the work he does as a rebounder and defender.

Henri Veesaar, Arizona ($6K)

Veesaar almost can't miss from the floor lately. He hasn't shot below 50% from the floor since December 14, but the difference is he is taking more shots now. Arizona still uses him for energy off the bench, but he does a lot in his 20-25 minutes per game. He is averaging 28.8 DraftKings points per game in the last five games.

Tarris Reed Jr., Connecticut ($4.8K)

Reed has come off the bench for the Huskies so far in 2025, but his production has been about the same. He doesn't have much upside in this role, but UConn's frontcourt is a fluid situation after Karaban. I feel they'll need Reed's size against Kalkbrenner today.

Also consider: Maxime Raynaud, Stanford ($9.7K); Alex Karaban, Connecticut ($8.7K); David Joplin, Marquette ($8.4K); Chaney Johnson, Auburn ($7.2K); Basheer Jihad, Arizona State ($6.9K); James Scott, Louisville ($6.2K); Dylan Cardwell, Auburn ($5.5K); Ben Gold, Marquette ($4.9K); Federiko Federiko, Texas Tech ($4.5K); Tobe Awaka, Arizona ($4K)
